Materials about imported telephones have been published more than once in "Radio Amateur" both in the past and this year. The most serious publication on the repair of imported TA was published in No. 10/92 under the heading "KR1008VZH1 - in an imported telephone." Unfortunately, the editors did not have a choice of materials on this topic at that time, and they really wanted to help the numerous owners of faulty devices, and therefore this article without the author's signature, in the "market" version, was published.

Today, the editors have more complete material on the repair of imported phones, and the previously unknown author of the "market" material kindly provided "RL" with a more detailed description of the repair methodology, sent amendments to some inaccuracies of the previous publication, and also developed a drawing of an additional printed circuit board with transitional contacts for self-replacement foreign dialers to the domestic chip type KR1008VZH1.

The difficulty of replacing imported integrated dialers lies only in the fact that the pinout of the KR 1008VZh 1 microcircuit does not match any of the foreign microcircuits. However, there is always room in the phone case for a small adapter board, which can, for example, be placed between the telephone capsule and the main board, as shown in Fig. one.

The design of the adapter board and its scheme printed wiring shown in Fig.2, and the circuit diagram - in Fig.3. The board contains a KR1008VZh1 chip and key transistors with correction and protection elements, as well as 1 2 contact pads, to which an adapter harness of thin wires is soldered. Abbreviations indicated on the diagram: IR-pulse key (output to dialing), OTB - hang up, P - switch, + Ep - positive power wire.

The connection diagrams of the pads of the adapter board with the pads of the main board, from which the faulty dialer chip was soldered, are given in Table 1.

Table 1

For example, pad 4 on the adapter board (next to pin 22 of the KR1008VZh1 chip) must be connected to the pad from pin 16 of the KS5805A chip on the main board. Similarly, this contact is connected to the place from the desoldering of pins 14, 1, 18 of the WE9192B, UM9151-3, UM9151 microcircuits, respectively.

In order for the last dialed number redial to work on the phone, changes must be made to the dialing board. On this board, you need to break the track that leads from pad 7 to the "#" button, and solder the broken end of the track from this button to pad 3. The diagram of changes in the connections of the board's typesetting field with contact pads is shown in Fig. 4.

If all connections are made correctly, and the number is not dialed, then the cause may be a low voltage on the zener diode of the riser (less than 1,5V). In this case, it is necessary to increase the current through the zener diode by reducing the resistance of the resistor R1 to 2,2 ... 10 kOhm. (Fig.5). In rare cases (if the handset is off and there is no beep), it is necessary to add a resistor R2 with a resistance of 100 - 300 kOhm.

The pinout of foreign transistors used in handsets and their domestic counterparts are shown in Table 2.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Bird flight record 19.10.2020

Scientists from the Global Flyway Network, an international association that tracks long-range flights of birds, said the blue-tailed godwit has set a new world record for the longest continuous flight, flying over 12 kilometers in 000 days.

According to the scientist, the godwit left Alaska on September 16 and arrived in a bay near the New Zealand city of Auckland on September 27. The bird was caught at the end of 2019; a 5-gram receiver was then hung on its paw, which transmitted data on the location of the bird to the satellite.

As satellite data showed, the godwit covered only 12 kilometers, flying at speeds up to 854 kilometers per hour. According to Conklin, in reality the bird flew about 88,5 km (the difference is due to inaccurate measurements), but this is still a new record.

Scientists recorded the previous record for the longest continuous flight in 2007: then the bird flew 11680 km.
