Figure 1 shows a diagram of a simple busy indicator. It is intended for an apartment where several parallel-connected SLTs are installed in the rooms, and allows you to determine by the glow of the LED that one of the devices is talking or the handset is not in place. Unlike circuits similar in purpose, published in [L1 p. 140] and [L20 p. 46], this one consumes less current from the line in standby mode with fewer parts.

The principle of operation of the indicator is based on the use of the property of the transistor VT1, when operating in microcurrent mode, to provide a large gain. And since it is turned on without negative feedback, a small change in collector voltage is required to go from saturation to off. When the circuit is operating in its initial state, when 60 V acts in the TL, the transistor will be in saturation, i.e. there will be no voltage on the VT2 gate. As soon as the tube is removed from the device, the voltage in the line drops to 6 ... 15 V, which leads to the blocking of the transistor VT1 and voltage is applied to the gate VT2 from the divider formed by resistors R1-R2 and R3-R4. Its level is sufficient to open VT2. .

The circuit is configured with a construction resistor R4 (SPZ-19a) so that the HL1 LED indicator stops glowing at a voltage of more than 16 V. The indicator glow interval will be 6,4 ... 15 V, which corresponds to the off-hook. For mounting the elements, the topology of the printed circuit board is shown in Figure 2. It fits easily in a standard telephone jack or inside a SLT.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Smell generator for virtual reality helmet 24.01.2017

The VAQSO VR module is a small device with cartridges inside that attaches to a VR helmet like Oculus Rift/HTC Vive or any similar wearable VR electronics. The fixation of the module is implemented by means of magnets, which makes VAQSO VR a versatile and easy-to-use gadget. Its activation will bring new emotions and sensations to the gameplay and video content by flavoring the air in accordance with the theme of what is happening on the screen.

The task of VAQSO VR is to exude odors, using for this purpose cartridges-reservoirs with aromatic liquids preloaded into the device. The design holds up to five such containers (it is planned to release a modification for 10 cartridges) in the form of ampoules, each of which will force the user of a virtual reality helmet to use another sense organ during the game - his sense of smell.

The developers of the "odorous accessory" promise that their brainchild will allow fans of shooters, as they say, to smell gunpowder during a shootout in the truest sense of the expression. And gamers wandering around the neighborhood near some elven village will be accompanied by the already characteristic aroma of the forest - the smell of grass, flowers and trees.

VAQSO VR should see the light of day by the end of 2017. So far, the developers are working on solving the issues of regulating the intensity of the fragrance of their cartridges, depending on how close the virtual source of the smell is to the player.
