The radio microphone operates in the FM range - 65,8-74 MHz. Signal reception is carried out using any VHF radio receiver at a distance of up to 25 m. Its schematic diagram is shown in the figure.

The design of the radio microphone is shown in the figure.

The source of the electrical signal is the BM1 microphone. Through the decoupling capacitor C1, the signal is fed to the base of the transistor VT1 for audio frequency amplification. Resistor R2 determines the DC mode of the transistor. From the collector load R3, the amplified signal is fed through the capacitor C2 to the base of the transistor VT2, which operates in the high-frequency generator circuit, assembled according to the capacitive three-point circuit.

This circuit uses capacitor C5 and the capacitance of the emitter junction of the transistor, which changes under the influence of an audio frequency signal entering the base of the transistor. Thus, the frequency modulation of the high frequency signal is carried out. Capacitor C3 grounds the base of transistor VT2 at a high frequency, without affecting the sound signal due to its small capacitance. Resistors R4 and R5 provide DC transistor mode. Semi-variable capacitor C5 is designed to set the carrier frequency of the generator to a section of the FM band free from radio stations.

The output oscillatory circuit L1, C4 is tuned to the generation frequency by the capacitor C4. The loop coil is a signal emitter instead of a commonly used antenna.

The circuit is powered by a GB1 battery of the "Krona" type or similar with a voltage of 9 V.

All parts of the radio microphone, with the exception of the battery and microphone, are located on the printed circuit board shown in the figure.

The loop coil L1 is made without a frame and is wound on a mandrel with a diameter of 8 mm with a silver-plated wire with a diameter of 1 mm and contains 6 turns. The device can use dynamic microphones MD-52A, MD-66 or MD78.

To shield the circuit, an aerosol can was chosen as a housing, the lower part of which is closed with its plastic cap. Thus, the emitting coil L1 is not shielded by the metal case.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

asymmetric icebreaker 13.08.2013

For many years, shipbuilders have been working on improving the design of icebreakers. The profit of the carrier company directly depends on the quality of the icebreaker’s work: if the icebreaker manages to break through the ice, then ships with various cargoes can pass unhindered along the northern routes even in the winter months. Of course, countries facing the sea, including Russia (it supplies some parts for the new icebreaker), are striving to find convenient routes for the quick delivery of goods to Europe by sea.

It is assumed that the Baltika icebreaker, which is being built by the Finnish shipbuilding company Arctech Helsinki Shipyard (Finland), will solve some of the problems.

The new ship will have a bow on one side, which will allow you to move forward at an angle. The vessel will be equipped with three engines (9 MW total power / 7,5 MW propulsion power). They will be installed at the very bottom and will be able to rotate 360 degrees. In addition, the ship will be equipped with a unique system of pumps to move liquid fuel and water from the holds to tanks inside the hull to change its center of gravity. Thus, the ship will be able to go straight, at an angle, or even in the opposite direction. In their message, representatives of Arctech said that the new icebreaker will not only be able to cut through the ice in the Gulf of Finland, but also help in oil spill areas and in rescue operations.

The dimensions of the ship will be 76 meters long and 20 meters wide. Usually a vessel of this size can clear a path only slightly wider than itself. However, the Baltika icebreaker will be able to clear a 50 m wide path in 60 cm thick ice. This is enough for a tanker to follow.

According to shipbuilders, the Baltika icebreaker should be ready next spring.
