I propose a device that signals the inclusion of turns. When you turn on the left or right turn, fragments of melodies sound.

The scheme from [1] was taken as a basis, the operation of the digital part of the device is also described in detail, and a ROM programming table is given. By the way, extra lines OA0...11F are erroneously printed in this table. Some changes and additions have been made to the scheme (Fig. 1). The master tone generator is assembled on three elements DD1, the clock generator - on the remaining three elements of this IC. Chain R3-C3 is used to set the counter DD3 to "0". Counter DD4 is used for automatic enumeration of melodies and for storing the number of the last fragment. For this purpose, it is powered directly from the vehicle's on-board network through the ballast resistor R7. The input of the device is connected to the indicator lamp turns on the dashboard of the car.

The +5 V voltage stabilizer, together with the electronic key, generates the supply voltage for the microcircuits and keeps it until the end of the melody fragment. When you first turn on (when you turn on the ignition of the car), power is supplied to all ICs, the "end of the melody" bit (output D7 of ROM DD5) has a logic level of "1". This level opens the transistor VT1, which, in turn, closes the transistor VT2. On the zener diode VD2, the voltage is limited, and the stabilizer generates a voltage of +5 V. After the end of the melody, a logical "7" appears at the output D0, which leads to a voltage shutdown, and the signaling device goes into standby mode. When the turn is turned on, a voltage appears on the basis of the transistor VT1 (from the control lamp), which turns on the stabilizer. In this case, bit D1 is set to "7", and fragments of melodies sound until the turn is turned off. After turning off the direction indicator, the last melody sounds in full. A piezo-emitter VA1 of the ZP-2 type was used as a sound source.

The design of the signaling device can be arbitrary. In my version, this is a 75x45 mm board placed in an 80x50x20 mm case. The emitter is located inside the case, but can be remote. The VT3 transistor is mounted on a radiator (20x15x4 mm in size). Some of the connections are made by printed wiring, some - by MGTF wire, some parts are soldered to the legs of the IC. The location of the parts is shown in Fig.2.

Establishment. By selecting the resistor R7, set the voltage to +5 V at the power output of the IC DD4. By selecting elements R1, C1, R2, C2, set the required tone and tempo for playing melodies. With proper installation and serviceable parts, the signaling device works immediately (tested on more than thirty copies).

Note. This signaling device is designed for installation in cars "Zhiguli", "Niva", "Volga". To install on the Moskvich, the signal from the lamp must be fed through a diode and a resistor to the base of the transistor VT2.

The dimensions of the signaling device can be further reduced, and the number of melodies can be increased to 60 ... 80, if the entire address space of the DD5 IC is filled with melodic codes, and instead of the DD3, DD4 ICs, the K561IE16 IC is used. Power consumption can be reduced by using the 555 or 1533 series ICs.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Turning the wheels of electric vehicles by 90 degrees 31.10.2021

The use of electric motors and batteries as part of the power plant of vehicles opens up great scope for creativity when choosing a layout for the creators of the latter. Hyundai Mobis is going to offer electric vehicle manufacturers a platform capable of turning wheels at an angle of 90 degrees.

Most of all, experiments with rear wheel steering in the segment of electric vehicles are known to General Motors Corporation. It has already announced a "crab mode" for electric vehicles of the Hummer family and the Chevrolet Silverado soplatform pickup truck. Elon Musk admitted some time ago that the Tesla Cybertruck pickup truck can also get rear wheel thrusters. For fairly large vehicles with a large wheelbase, this opens up new opportunities for maneuvering in urban and off-road conditions. You can both move diagonally and reduce the turning radius.

The South Korean company Hyundai Mobis announced the success in the development of units for electric vehicles, allowing you to create cars with the ability to turn the wheel 90 degrees. If we assume that all four wheels will have such a degree of freedom, then the electric car will be able to move to the side strictly perpendicular to the road and turn around on the spot, which will provide additional convenience when parking and maneuvering in the city.

Classic cars with a mechanical link between the wheel and the power train rarely provide a wheel angle of more than 30 degrees. By 2023, Hyundai Mobis promises to develop a ready-made platform with the function of turning the wheels 90 degrees. By 2025, it will equip it with the ability to automatically control. All this will allow the company's customers to create electric vehicles with an unusual layout and fantastic maneuverability. Considering that Hyundai, Genesis and Kia are the main customers of this component supplier, we can expect the corresponding models to appear in their product range.
