I managed to build a receiver powered by the energy of the transmitting radio station. And I think it will be of interest to many radio amateurs. I was encouraged to design by a good friend of mine. He received a piece of land near Krasnoyarsk. And since electricity will not be brought there for another century, and sometimes the salary is not enough even to power the transistor, he asked me to make a simple detector receiver in order to keep abreast of the news.

Having collected materials related to this type of equipment, I set to work. And it turned out that the schemes proposed in mass literature and magazines were, to put it mildly, ill-conceived. In particular, this applies to the circuits of detector receivers using additional amplifying stages on transistors.

Here is an example of one of the recommended schemes. The rectifying diode is installed in series from the antenna to the fed transistor stage. As a result, for normal operation of the receiver, a voltage equal to the sum of the drop voltages across the diode and the required amplifier will be required.

This drawback can be eliminated by installing a rectifying diode in parallel with the powered stage. But then there is the question of selectivity. In connection with the shunting of the resonant circuit with the equivalent resistance of the amplifying stage, the receiver begins to catch the programs of all operating stations and is very responsive to tuning. The decision suggests itself to separate the circuit from the amplifier stage. This turned out to be possible if a circuit with a series resonance and power supply to the amplifying stage was used. At the same time, the selectivity increased sharply with fine tuning to the transmitting station.

With such a receiver, you can also increase the number of amplifying stages. By introducing a reflex circuit, when the same transistors are used in the HF and LF amplification modes, I was able to significantly increase the sound volume of the received stations.

Schematic diagram of the reflex receiver 3-V-3.

The proposed scheme is a 3-V-3 reflex receiver, which allows receiving radio stations in the range of long and medium waves with satisfactory loudness.

The device includes a resonant circuit with series resonance (C1, L1), a three-stage reflex amplifier (VT1-VT3), an RF signal detector (VD1-VD3), a transistor power supply rectifier (VD4).

The design of the receiver depends on the type and dimensions of the parts used. As an inductor, circuits wound on cylindrical, square frames, as well as on a ferrite rod are suitable. Transistors fit germanium 400th and 300th series with h21B not lower than 40. Diodes - germanium type D2 or D9.

Telephone capsule - type DEM-Sh or similar with a resistance of 60-100 ohms.

My receiver picks up radio stations at a distance of 40 km from Krasnoyarsk with an antenna 20 m long and 10 m high.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Clothes care cabinet LG Styler 12.01.2024

LG is introducing its latest product, a clothing care device called the LG Styler. It's not just a closet; It is a smart device that provides the ability to freshen, dry and iron your clothes. With a built-in handheld steamer and unique care features, LG Styler raises the standard for caring for your clothes.

LG Styler's smart features and innovative technology make it an essential asset for those who value excellence and innovation in their daily wardrobe routine.

The hand-held steamer, integrated into the cabinet body, easily smooths out creases in various fabrics, ensuring a flawless look for your clothes. The device also features a moving hanger system and improved dust removal, deodorization and drying capabilities, making the LG Styler an essential household item.

However, the main feature of this device is LG's Dual TrueSteam technology. This innovative system uses two heating elements to boil water, allowing you to more precisely control the volume and strength of the steam jet. This means that only one of the heaters can be used to care for delicate fabrics.

In addition, LG Dual TrueSteam provides germ control, destroying them with at least 99,9% efficiency, and also protects against 11 types of harmful bacteria. The built-in ventilation system ensures automatic air circulation throughout the room, and the room dehumidification function adds additional functionality to this innovative device.
