Section 4. Switchgears and substations Switchgears and substations with voltages above 1 kV. Scope, definitions Encyclopedia of radio electronics and electrical engineering / Rules for the installation of electrical installations (PUE) 4.2.1. This chapter of the Rules applies to stationary switchgears (RU) and transformer substations (SS) of alternating current with a voltage above 1 kV. 4.2.2. This chapter does not contain requirements for the design of the switchgear and substations in terms of:
According to the above, you should be guided by the requirements of current building codes and regulations and departmental documents. 4.2.3. The definitions of the basic concepts used in this chapter are adopted according to the current standards, as well as according to 4.2.4 - 4.2.16. 4.2.4. Switchgear (RU) - an electrical installation that serves to receive and distribute electricity and contains switching devices, combined and connecting buses, auxiliary devices (compressor, battery, etc.), as well as protection, automation, remote control, communication and measurement devices. Open switchgear (ORU) - switchgear, all or the main equipment of which is located in the open air. Closed switchgear (ZRU) - switchgear, the equipment of which is located indoors. 4.2.5. Complete switchgear - switchgear, consisting of cabinets or blocks with devices built into them, measuring, protection and automation devices and connecting elements (for example, current conductors) supplied assembled or fully prepared for assembly. Gas-insulated switchgear (KRUE) is a switchgear in which the main equipment is enclosed in shells filled with SF6 gas, which serves as an insulating and / or arc-quenching medium. A complete switchgear intended for indoor installation is abbreviated KRU, and for outdoor installation - KRUN. A kind of KRU is KSO - a chamber team of unilateral service. 4.2.6. Transformer substation - an electrical installation designed for receiving, converting and distributing energy and consisting of transformers, switchgear, control devices, technological and auxiliary structures. 4.2.7. Attached Substation (RU) - Substation (RU), directly adjacent to the main building of a power plant or industrial enterprise. 4.2.8. Built-in PS (RU) - PS (RU), which occupies part of the building. 4.2.9. Intrashop PS (RU) - PS (RU), located inside the shop openly (without a fence), behind a mesh fence, in a separate room. 4.2.10. Complete transformer substation (KTP) - a substation consisting of transformers, blocks (KRU and KRUN) and other elements supplied assembled or fully prepared at the factory for assembly. 4.2.11. Pillar transformer substation (STP) is an open transformer substation, all the equipment of which is installed on a single-column overhead line support at a height that does not require substation fencing. Mast transformer substation (MTP) is an open transformer substation, all equipment of which is installed on structures (including two or more overhead line support racks) with a service platform at a height that does not require substation fencing. 4.2.12. Distribution point - 6-500 kV switchgear with equipment for controlling its operation, which is not part of the substation. 4.2.13. Sectioning point - a point intended for sectioning (with automatic or manual control) of a section of 6-20 kV lines. 4.2.14. Chamber - a room intended for the installation of devices, transformers and tires. Closed chamber - a chamber closed on all sides and having solid (not mesh) doors. Fenced chamber - a chamber that has openings protected in whole or in part by non-continuous (mesh or mixed) fences. 4.2.15. Biological protection - a set of measures and devices to protect people from the harmful effects of electric and magnetic fields. 4.2.16. Auxiliary building (ZVN) - a building consisting of premises necessary for organizing and carrying out work on the maintenance and repair of substation equipment.
