The popular Era electric razor runs on AC power only, so it cannot be used in a car. The device described below is designed to power this electric shaver from the car's on-board network with a constant voltage of 12 V. It draws a current of about 2,5 A under load.

The converter (Fig. 4.33) contains a master oscillator for a frequency of 100 Hz on a DD1.1 trigger, a frequency divider by 2 on a DD1.2 trigger, a preamplifier on transistors VT1, VT2 and a power amplifier on transistors VT3, VT4, loaded with a transformer T1.

The master oscillator has a very high frequency stability (no worse than 5% when the supply voltage changes from 6 to 15 V). The frequency divider simultaneously plays the role of a balancing stage, allowing you to improve the shape of the output voltage of the converter.

Chip DD1 and pre-amplifier transistors are fed through the filter R9, C3, C4. The secondary winding of the transformer T1 with the capacitor C5 and the load form an oscillatory circuit with a resonant frequency of about 50 Hz. Chip K561TM2 can be replaced by 564TM2. Instead of transistors KT973B (VT1 and VT2), you can use a composite emitter follower on transistors of the KT361 and KT502 series. KT805AM transistors can be replaced by any powerful ones of a similar structure. Capacitors C1 and C2 - KMBP, C3 - KM-5, C4 - K50-6, C5 - MBGO for a voltage of 400 V. Transistors VT3, VT4 should be placed on heat sinks, when using metal transistors, a radiator is optional.

The Tl transformer can be rewound from any 30...50 W mains transformer. All secondary windings are removed from the transformer (the network will serve as winding II), and instead of them, two half-windings are wound with PEL or PEV-2-1,28 mm wire, each with a number of turns corresponding to a transformation ratio of about 20 in relation to the left 220 V winding .

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

The first Mongolian Mozo car 15.01.2022

Mongolia starts manufacturing its own cars. The local company Bars Motors will take care of this.
Bars Motors has opened its own car manufacturing plant in Mongolia, where it plans to produce 2500 new cars a year so far. The company's first vehicle is the Mozo SUV (an acronym that stands for "Intellect of the Mongolian People").

The car can be called a copy of the 500 Zotye T2017 cross, it is more adapted to the roadways of Mongolia compared to the original.

The Bars Motors Mozo SUV is equipped with a 156-horsepower 1,5-liter gasoline turbo engine, interacting with a six-speed "automatic" and a front-wheel drive system. Modification height 1695 mm, width 1850 mm, length 4632 mm, wheelbase 2700 mm. The capacity of the luggage compartment reaches 1155 liters.

The price of Mozo in the home market is 69-79 million tugriks (25-30 thousand dollars).
