The device, the circuit of which is shown in the figure, can be used to regulate the voltage on the load of an active and inductive nature, powered by an alternating current network with a voltage of 127 and 220 V. The voltage on the load can be changed from zero to the rated voltage of the network.

Thyristor D5, included in the diagonal of the bridge, composed of diodes D1-D4, plays the role of a controlled key, which opens when the capacitor C1 is discharged through the limiting resistor R2 and the thyristor control transition when the switching diode D6 is turned on. The voltage at which the thyristor turns on can be adjusted by potentiometer R1. Instead of switching diode D6, you can use a zener diode, but in this case, the voltage adjustment range at the load is reduced.

A new principle for placing batteries in electric vehicles 12.08.2020

China-based Contemporary Amperex Technology Co Ltd (CATL), a supplier of electric vehicle batteries, said it is working on a new technology that will allow cells to be integrated directly into the chassis, eliminating traditional cases that make batteries bulky.

The described approach will allow you to install more cells and increase the mileage per charge, which is very interested in manufacturers and consumers of electric vehicles. CATL estimates that electric vehicles with batteries built into the chassis will be able to have a range of more than 800 km. The company plans to bring the development to the market by 2030.
