The article presents two options for battery-powered audio frequency signal generators. They differ from the usual two power amplifiers (up to 1 W at a supply voltage of 15 V), from which two different signals can be received. The use of integrated circuits ensures the operability of generators in a wide range of supply voltages, and their modifications with frequency tuning will expand the scope of applications.

On fig. 2 shows a diagram of a signal generator with a frequency of 1 kHz. It generates two signals (triangular and rectangular) with adjustable amplitude. The oscillation frequency is determined by the parameters of the elements R4, C1. Op-amp DA1.1 works as a square wave signal generator (meander), its output voltage is set by a variable resistor R6. This signal is applied to the first channel of the TDA2822M.

The signal at point A (at the inverting input DA1. 1) has a triangular shape, and through the voltage buffer follower on the op-amp DA1.2 it enters the second channel of the TDA2822M amplifier. The output signal of a triangular shape is regulated by the level of a variable resistor R7.

Connecting the load between the outputs of the channels of the DA2 chip allows you to get the form of the output voltage on the op-amp DA1.2, it goes to the second channel of the TDA2822M amplifier. The output signal of a triangular shape is regulated by the level of a variable resistor R7.

Connecting the load between the outputs of the channels of the DA2 chip allows you to get the shape of the output voltage in the form of a bipolar "saw". Dividers at the outputs of the generator can reduce the output voltage by 20 dB (10 times).

In generators, instead of the TDA2822M chip, two LM386s can be used, although they are not a complete analogue. The LM358 chip can be replaced with analogues (NE532, KR1401UD5, KR1040UD1) or other op-amps with similar parameters. In frequency-setting circuits, it is desirable to use capacitors with a film dielectric, for example, K73-9, K73-17.

Both designs are operated with a rechargeable battery with a voltage of 6,6 V or with a battery of 6 V (4x1,5 V) galvanic cells, but the generators are operational at a supply voltage of 3 ... power supply from network adapters. In this case, a protective diode should be provided to prevent direct connection of the battery to the rectifier, or a connector with disconnection of the power supply circuit from the built-in battery should be used. In fact, the design of generators largely depends on the capabilities and requirements of users of such a device.

As a variant of the generator according to Fig. 2, a modification can be proposed in which the op amp DA1.2 is turned on by a voltage inverter connected to the output DA1. 1. Then at the outputs of the amplifiers DA2 there will be anti-phase voltages of a rectangular shape.

Returning to the issue of frequency tuning of generators (see Fig. 1), a combination of fixed and variable frequency generators is possible. For tunable sinusoidal signal generators, it is important to use in frequency-setting circuits dual variable resistors with a minimum spread and capacitors of equal capacity (the spread is not more than 1 ... 2%, achieved by a set of several connected in parallel).

The world's tallest astronomical observatory opened 04.05.2024

Exploring space and its mysteries is a task that attracts the attention of astronomers from all over the world. In the fresh air of the high mountains, far from city light pollution, the stars and planets reveal their secrets with greater clarity. A new page is opening in the history of astronomy with the opening of the world's highest astronomical observatory - the Atacama Observatory of the University of Tokyo. The Atacama Observatory, located at an altitude of 5640 meters above sea level, opens up new opportunities for astronomers in the study of space. This site has become the highest location for a ground-based telescope, providing researchers with a unique tool for studying infrared waves in the Universe. Although the high altitude location provides clearer skies and less interference from the atmosphere, building an observatory on a high mountain poses enormous difficulties and challenges. However, despite the difficulties, the new observatory opens up broad research prospects for astronomers. ... >>

Controlling objects using air currents 04.05.2024

The development of robotics continues to open up new prospects for us in the field of automation and control of various objects. Recently, Finnish scientists presented an innovative approach to controlling humanoid robots using air currents. This method promises to revolutionize the way objects are manipulated and open new horizons in the field of robotics. The idea of controlling objects using air currents is not new, but until recently, implementing such concepts remained a challenge. Finnish researchers have developed an innovative method that allows robots to manipulate objects using special air jets as "air fingers". The air flow control algorithm, developed by a team of specialists, is based on a thorough study of the movement of objects in the air flow. The air jet control system, carried out using special motors, allows you to direct objects without resorting to physical ... >>

Purebred dogs get sick no more often than purebred dogs 03.05.2024

Caring for the health of our pets is an important aspect of the life of every dog owner. However, there is a common assumption that purebred dogs are more susceptible to diseases compared to mixed dogs. New research led by researchers at the Texas School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences brings new perspective to this question. A study conducted by the Dog Aging Project (DAP) of more than 27 companion dogs found that purebred and mixed dogs were generally equally likely to experience various diseases. Although some breeds may be more susceptible to certain diseases, the overall diagnosis rate is virtually the same between both groups. The Dog Aging Project's chief veterinarian, Dr. Keith Creevy, notes that there are several well-known diseases that are more common in certain breeds of dogs, which supports the notion that purebred dogs are more susceptible to disease. ... >>

Recognition of people with hidden faces 19.11.2018

The Chinese company Watrix has developed a new recognition system that can identify people from a distance by their gait.

This means that even if a person wears a mask or tries to turn away from the camera, they will be identified.

According to the developers, the system cannot be fooled by trying to change the gait, for example, by limping or hunching over, since the software analyzes the image as a whole. In terms of recognition accuracy, the system is inferior to systems based on face recognition, but the accuracy is quite sufficient for commercial use - it is 94%.

Analysis is not performed in real time. The program processes the video recording, highlighting and comparing the silhouettes of a person. Searching a one-hour recording takes approximately 10 minutes.
