The device is designed to control a satellite tuner from another room. This problem occurs when there is only one tuner and two or more TVs in different rooms.

The receiving part is left near the satellite tuner, directing the LED into the window of its IR receiver, and the transmitting part, together with the remote control, is taken to another room where the TV is.

The transmitter is controlled by an industrial TSOP type IR receiver with a built-in carrier demodulator (36 kHz). When transmitting, 100% AM is used. That is, if 1 (there is a carrier) if 0 (there is no carrier and the transmitter is turned off). The terminal stage of the transmitter is ajar in the silent mode with a current of 15 mA. The receiver and transmitter antennas are quarter-wave lengths of wire (16 cm).

The receiver is a super-regenerator with very good repeatability (3 copies of the devices were made completely without problems at frequencies of 433,92 and 418 MHz on SMD elements) and excellent sensitivity. Its setting is reduced to the selection of capacitances between the collector and emitter of the transistor and the capacitance and inductance of the oscillatory circuit and the coupling coil with the antenna. You can control the signal received by the receiver from the output of the first op-amp (1 leg LM 358) by connecting the control ULF input there. The second op amp included in the microcircuit is a threshold device, a digital signal is already sent from it to the timer. The timer restores the carrier frequency of 36 kHz upon arrival of a high level and controls the transistor that lights the IR LED.

American scientists conducted a study to determine the main factors contributing to this addiction and offer recommendations for its prevention.
