SWAT electric motorcycle

Zero Motorcycles has introduced a particularly durable and reliable electric motorcycle designed for special forces.
The new electric vehicle, the Zero MMX motorcycle, was developed by order of the American special operations forces and differs from analogues in the ability to work in the most severe conditions.

Motorcycles have been used in the US Army before, for example, this is a regular unit of the reconnaissance version of the Bradley M3 infantry fighting vehicle. With the help of a motorcycle, a scout can move quickly over rough terrain, a motorcycle can be easily transported by helicopter, easy to hide, etc. However, motorcycles also have disadvantages that on the battlefield are fraught with major troubles for the rider: high noise and insufficient reliability, especially in difficult weather conditions.

The all-electric Zero MMX doesn't have these disadvantages: it can ride almost silently, generate very little heat, and the power plant works even when the bike is completely submerged. Zero MMX Li-Ion batteries are modular, which means that depending on requirements, one cell with a capacity of about 2,8 kWh or two cells with a total capacity of more than 5,6 kWh can be used. In the latter case, you can ride on one charge for 2 hours. Fast charging is possible, in 1 hour, through a special CHAdeMO connector.

The motorcycle is equipped with an engine with a torque of 92 Nm and can reach a maximum speed of 137 km / h, which allows it to quickly break away from any other military equipment, the speed of which on rough terrain rarely exceeds 40-60 km / h.

Electric transport is increasingly of interest to the military, which in recent years has increasingly focused on lightning-fast special operations, during which small groups of commandos aim aircraft at important enemy targets or destroy infrastructure on their own. Typically, such groups do not operate for a long time - an average of 1-2 days, and then they are picked up by helicopters. For such groups, durable light motorcycles with spare batteries could be useful. Unlike ATVs and buggies, motorcycles can even be transported by light helicopters.
