The temperature controller of the refrigerator allows you to change the temperature and save energy when using absorption refrigerators that do not have automatic switches ("Morozko", "Ukraine", "Kristall", etc.).

Refrigerator Temperature Controller

The circuit is a multivibrator that periodically turns off the refrigerator using a relay. The multivibrator is made on transistors V1 and V2 of the MP40-MP42 type with Pst = 80. The time interval for switching the multivibrator is 50 s. With the help of a variable resistor R3, the ratio of the time the refrigerator is on and off is regulated, and hence the temperature inside it. The refrigerator is turned on using a relay, the winding of which is connected to the collector of transistor V2. A spark-extinguishing circuit consisting of resistor R5 and capacitor C4 is connected to the relay contacts. To eliminate the vibration of the relay contacts, a capacitor C3 is connected in parallel with its winding.

Details. Lamp H1 type MH-3, H2 type MH 15, 26 V x 0,16 A; the transformer is made on the USh-12 x 17 core; the primary winding of the transformer contains 5200 turns of PEL-0,08 wire, the secondary - 1060 turns of PEL-0,16 wire.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

TPS65023 - new power controller for DaVinci 28.12.2006

Texas Instruments Incorporated has introduced the first dedicated power controller optimized for DaVinci portable media processors.

The TPS65023 is up to 95 percent efficient, provides flexible voltage scaling, and overall simplifies the design of Li-ion battery-powered portable multimedia applications.

Three buck converters are built into the instrument to maintain voltages for the core, peripherals, I/O interface, and memory. The TPS65023 adopts a PC communication interface that operates a dynamic voltage control system that can adjust the processor core voltage within the range of 0,8V to 1,6V, which greatly reduces the processor's power consumption. The interface is compatible with fast/standard as well as high speed modes of the PC specification with data rates up to 400 kHz.

The TPS65023 also integrates two general purpose linear 200 mA voltage regulators (LDOs) with separate external pins. Each LDO operates with input voltages in the 2,5...6,5 V range, which allows them to be powered by built-in buck converters or directly from a battery.
