I suggest equipping the standard plug with an LED indicator. The upgraded plug makes it possible to visually control the presence of current in the load. With the ratings indicated in the diagram, the total power of the devices connected to the signaling plug should not exceed 500 W. Well, if the load is more impressive, you will have to replace the KD208A diodes placed in the plug with semiconductor analogues with higher energy parameters.
In any case, to embed the indicator light into a standard UHL4 plug, one cannot do without modifying the cover of the latter. Some super complex operations are not required here. It is only necessary to remove three (out of the four available) plastic protrusions-clamps, and opposite the remaining one (where the recessed stop for the contact pin was located) drill a hole for the LED.
Making a printed circuit board from 1,5 mm foil fiberglass is also, as they say, as easy as shelling pears. For final fine-tuning, it is installed on the cover of the plug, the contact pins are inserted into the corresponding sockets and a test assembly of the plug is performed with the prompt elimination of inaccuracies detected in the parts. This is followed by disassembly and final assembly.

Having properly placed the printed circuit board on the cover, solder (into the foil section with a socket hole) the first contact pin. Place the rest of the circuit details. At the same time, the KD20VA diodes are slightly filed (top and bottom) to lower the mounting height. And a piece of PVC tube is put on the case of a 100-ohm resistor to isolate it from the second contact pin, which is inserted into the board last and connected to the wire that goes to the load using a standard M3 screw with a washer. As for the second load wire, it is simply soldered to the "common" conductor of the printed circuit board.
The signaling plug is ready for operation. As practice shows, his work does not cause any complaints. Reliability - one hundred percent.
