The presented NM8036 device from the MASTER KIT company can be used as an element of the "Smart Home" system. The device can be configured to control ventilation, heating, lighting, etc.

The NM8036 device allows you to control 4 actuators (via power simistors). Maxim-Dallas DS18B20 devices were used as temperature sensors. The sensors are connected in parallel with each other using 3 wires, and by addressing the temperature is read only from the required sensor. This technology greatly simplifies the connection and installation of a large number of sensors and is called "1-wire bus". More information can be found on the Maxim-Dallas website.

Main features of the device

The number of control channels - 4.

• Timer control:

- inclusion of loading in a certain period of time;

- management of loads on certain days of the week or days of the month, as well as on selected months.

• Temperature control (thermostating): both cooler and heater.

• Alarm clock, sound+light (display illumination).

• Number of connected temperature sensors - 4.

• Non-volatile real time clock (complete calendar including leap years).

• The function of saving all settings in non-volatile memory, the continuation of the correct operation of the program in the event of a temporary disconnection of the device from the network.

Outputs:

- optoisolated cascade for connecting power triacs (optional);

- logic outputs with a maximum current of 10 mA.

• Remote control of the thermostat via the computer's COM port.

• Ability to update the internal software with new versions from the site masterkit.ru.

• Indication: 2-line 16-character LCD display with programmable control of contrast and backlight brightness. • Sound indication.

A MAX232 level matching chip is used to connect the device to a computer. The output signals from it are fed to the XS1 connector in accordance with the pinout of the null modem cable.

Directly (without additional amplification) a microspeaker is connected to the output of one of the ports of the microcontroller, which provides audible signaling of key activity, as well as keyboard activity.

The device is equipped with a 2-line text display that shows various information (settings, load status, temperature, time, etc.), as well as an intuitive user interface in the form of a menu for entering settings and settings. Also, the device provides a smooth adjustment of the contrast and brightness of the LCD screen.

The device contains a real time clock equipped with a backup power supply on a lithium battery. The clock contains a "complete" calendar (until 2099) including leap years.

The internal program of the controller can be updated with new versions, which are regularly posted on the MASTER KIT website. The update is done using specially designed software.

To monitor the temperature on a PC, specialized software under Windows OS is used, with which you can get information about the current temperature of the sensors and the state of the loads directly "on the computer monitor", without approaching the device. You can also change the timer settings, set the clock and other settings. For this, another application is used.
