Here are some recipes resin-oil drying oils.

1st recipe:

Dissolve any desiccant in resin oil. Enough from 3 to 5% resinous or flax-butyric manganese or lead. Then, resin oil is mixed with a stirrer at a temperature of 50 ° C with a strong solution of one of the following salts: hypochloric or hypochlorous salts of potassium, sodium, ammonium, barium or calcium, bleaching lime, etc. The degree of concentration does not play a special role. The mixture is then left alone until the oil in the solution separates and becomes clear; then it is drained.

2st recipe:

A certain amount of ordinary rosin is melted and 50% by weight of manganese or lead resinate or linoleate rosin is dissolved in it. Heating is continued until complete transparency. Next, one of the following salts is mixed with an equal weight of water: potassium sulphide, sodium, calcium, magnesium, potassium sulphide, sodium sulphide, calcium sulphide. One of the above salts is taken in an amount of 20 to 40% by weight of the above solution of desiccant in rosin. Next, the solution is cooled to 100 ° C and a solution of salts is poured into it. Mix well and get a viscous, cloudy yellowish mass. This mass is heated at 100 °C until all the water has evaporated and the mass becomes completely transparent again. Sulfur compounds settle to the bottom. The mass thus obtained in an amount of 5 to 20% is added to the heated tar oil, in which 3 to 5% of the desiccant is dissolved.

3st recipe:

25 wt. including precipitated manganese resinate dissolved in 50 wt. hours of turpentine and knead with 400 wt. hours of resin oil. The mixture is heated for two hours at a temperature of 70 ° C and the finished product is allowed to settle.

4st recipe:

10 kg of rosin is fused with 4 kg of pure crystalline soda. The excess liquid is drained from the sediment that has settled to the bottom and the latter is dissolved in 200 kg of purified, odorless, light resinous oil. When a homogeneous solution is obtained, it is filtered through a cloth, allowed to cool and mixed with 500 g of a solution of manganese resinate, which is obtained by dissolving with thorough stirring, 20 wt. hours of manganese resinate in 10 wt. h. turpentine. The resulting drying oil after 3 days of settling is ready for use.

Very good resin-oil drying oil can be obtained like this:

Heat 40 wt. hours of linseed oil drying oil and add to it 100 wt. hours of crushed rosin. Stir and heat until the rosin dissolves. When everything is dissolved, the temperature of the mixture is lowered and 10 wt. hours of light resin oil and 80 wt. h. turpentine. Everything is mixed well and left to stand still so that the undissolved parts settle, after which it is filtered through a cloth.

It should be noted that resin drying oils containing large amounts of rosin lose their luster after a while, especially if the surface covered with drying oil is exposed to dampness and sun. To avoid this phenomenon, you need to reduce the amount of rosin. Instead of 100 wt. hours, as indicated above, take 25 wt. h. Such drying oil will not have the mentioned disadvantages, but it dries out more slowly.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

Monday is not the hardest day 05.10.2017

British scientists have refuted the claim that Monday is the hardest day of the working week. Experts conducted a study in which about 3 thousand Britons took part.

More than 53% of respondents noted that on Mondays they do not show much zeal for work and try to postpone all difficult matters for the next day. This behavior is explained by the fact that after the weekend people are not ready to drastically change the mode of rest to work and immediately plunge into business.

Until Tuesday, a large front of work accumulates, and everyone begins to catch up. So Tuesday is the busiest day of the week.
