Laundry detergent according to the Hirsch method

Consists of a mixture of 50 parts by weight of soda and 50 parts by weight of soaproot powder.

Washing powder according to the Labarte method

Soda ash 9,6 kg;
Potash (75-86%) 1,2 kg;
Caustic soda (70%) 1,7 kg;
Sodium silicate 700 g;
Potassium permanganate 200 g;
Thyme oil 100 g.

Washing powder for laundry

Soda ash 8,8 kg;
Crystalline sodium hyposulfite 1 kg;
Boers 200

Self-wash in tablets

Soda ash 6 kg;
Bicarbonate soda 2,5 kg;
Borax powder 1 kg;
Caustic soda (76%) crushed 1 kg.

First, all substances are mixed, dissolved in the smallest possible amount of warm water (i.e., a saturated solution is prepared). Then 50% ultramarine blue is mixed in. Stir thoroughly, mold into appropriate shapes and dry in a warm place.

Before dissolving the above substances, you should heat the water well, add a little soap powder to it and then dissolve the mixed parts in it. The soap powder in this case will act as a binding agent, and the tablets will come out strong and not crumbly. Water should be taken as little as possible. Tablets are prepared in the size of a 5-kopeck copper coin.

Method of use. Take one tablet, add 100 g of soap, cut it into narrow strips first, and lower it into a pot with water (1-2 l). After thoroughly stirring the mixture, pour it into the cauldron for cooking clothes, which should be half filled with boiling water. Then place dirty laundry in this boiler and boil for 15-20 minutes, stirring it all the time. After that, rinse the laundry first in clean warm, and then in clean cold water. When washing colored items, the water in the boiler must cool down. Having lowered the painted things into the cauldron, they do not boil the water, but keep it warm, as the paint may come off. Whites and coloreds should not be washed at the same time. First, put white linen in the boiler, and then, taking it out, you can wash colored clothes in the same water and in the same solution.
