cracked outside rubber sleeve cleaned with warm water using a brush to remove dirt and dry thoroughly. Then it is placed on a board and applied to the cracks. glue for repairing rubber products until all the cracks are filled with it.

Each new layer is applied after the previous one has dried. When the last layer begins to dry, the sleeve is wrapped in this place with canvas tape moistened with the above-mentioned glue.

If the sleeve has cracked on its inner surface, then the described method is unsuitable, since a thickening is formed in the repaired place, around which dirt collects and a "plug" can form. In this case, the damaged piece is cut out and both ends are spliced, inserting them into a short piece of a larger diameter rubber sleeve tightly covering the repaired sleeve.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. The world's first solar road 23.12.2016

In a small town in Normandy (a region in northwestern France), the world's first highway, the surface of which is paved with solar panels, has opened.

The applied technology is called Wattway. The experimental section of the road has a length of 1 km, and the total area of solar panels is 2800 m2.

The canvas has a special coating that protects the batteries from destruction and at the same time provides good grip for vehicles. It is expected that about 2000 cars will pass on the unusual road every day.

An estimated 280 MWh of solar power could be generated per year from solar panels. It can be used, say, to illuminate city streets at night.

In the next two years, the experimental site will undergo extensive testing. It is noted that the implementation of the project cost approximately 5 million euros.
