Whether it is prevention or a major restoration of the engine's performance, one of the painstaking and time-consuming operations is the removal of carbon deposits from the grooves of the piston rings. It is here that the “steering wheel” is designed to help: to facilitate the work, speed it up, and provide better cleaning.

The device consists of a steel ring-case with the same internal diameter as the piston diameter and a height that allows it to "reach" the piston ring grooves. Tool holders are installed in the windows of the body, which guide the scrapers-cutters, and with a vertical offset by an inter-groove value. The tool holders themselves are screwed into the body, and the cutters in them are locked with screws - this makes it possible to finely adjust them. groove depth. For the convenience of rotating the device, handles are installed on its body - they give it a resemblance to the steering wheel.

To remove carbon deposits, the device is put on the piston from the side of the bottom, until it stops against it with a shoulder of the tool body. The incisors are then quickly driven to the bottom of the grooves and fixed with screws. By turning the steering wheel, the cutters are guided along the grooves - and the carbon deposits are completely cut off in one or two passes.

The device has already found application in one of the convoys of the Middle Volga Transport Administration. Thanks to him, labor productivity increased by 5-6 times, the quality of work in these operations improved dramatically, and their implementation became much easier and simpler.

The company Zero Devices has prepared for the release of a new set-top box Z6C on the Android operating system, which allows you to turn an ordinary TV into a "smart" panel with Internet access.
