Bronchial asthma is a chronic bronchial disease of a psychoallergenic nature. It is manifested by attacks of suffocation and coughing. An exacerbation of the disease occurs against the background of a cold and flu, after contact with an allergen and strong emotional arousal.

Symptoms of the disease - cough, wheezing with difficulty exhaling, the threat of suffocation, possibly fever. Asthma attacks are caused by swelling and narrowing of the bronchi. A child who has these symptoms for the first time may be very frightened, thereby only worsening his condition. Therefore, it is necessary to calm him down, call a doctor and start providing first aid.

When emergency care is needed

If the symptoms of asthma appeared in the child for the first time.

If an asthmatic attack cannot be stopped with the usual means prescribed by a doctor.

If the body temperature rises above 39°C.

What to do before the doctor arrives

If the child had an asthma attack for the first time

1. Reassure and reassure the child, as anxiety exacerbates an asthmatic attack.

2. Call an ambulance.

3. Help your child get into a comfortable, breathing position. If he is lying down, put pillows under his head, turn him on his side, or seat him in pillows. With a strong attack, it is easier for a child to breathe while standing on his knees and on his elbows, that is, on all fours.

4. Give your child a warm drink. Drink it often, but little by little.

5. Open the windows wide open (even in cold weather, throwing a warm blanket or fur coat over the child). The fresh air will make it easier for him to breathe.

6. Give your child an antihistamine - tavegil, suprastin, if there is no other medicine prescribed by a doctor.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Robots learn by watching people 22.05.2018

NVIDIA has developed an artificial intelligence training methodology in which robots observe the actions of people in order to "remember" the entire process. Robots that have completed such a "course" will be able to work more efficiently and safely in production, adapting to a changing environment.

In addition, such robots will be able to "get along" at home. "In manufacturing, robots repeat the same movements, but do not adapt to the environment if it changes, and do not learn how to perform new tasks," said the NVIDIA scientist. Therefore, according to him, it is required to call a specialist who will reprogram the system for an impressive amount.

NVIDIA's goal is to create algorithms that will allow a machine to be tuned for new tasks by a person who does not have specialized skills. The system uses neural networks to "perceive", plan and control actions.

1TB QLC NAND Flash
23.05.2018
Micron Technology and Intel announced the availability of the industry's first NAND flash memory capable of storing 4 bits per cell (QLC NAND). QLC NAND crystals with 64-layer structure are characterized by the world's highest density of 1 Tbit.

In addition, the partners announced progress on the development of a third generation 96D NAND structure consisting of XNUMX layers. By increasing the number of layers, it is possible to increase the specific storage density per unit crystal area.

Both (64-layer QLC NAND and 96-layer TLC NAND) use the CuA (CMOS under the array) process technology to reduce die size and improve performance compared to competing approaches.

According to Intel, QLC NAND memory is well suited for read-intensive cloud workloads for consumer and client computing applications.
