2.11. After checking the equipment of the compressor station, make an entry in the journal about the acceptance of the shift.

2.12. Before starting each compressor, the driver must inspect the unit, make sure it is in good condition, check the lubrication and cooling system and start it up in accordance with the instructions.

3. Labor protection requirements during work

3.1. After turning on (according to the production instructions) each compressor must be listened to its work.

If you find any unusual noise or knocking that is unusual for the normal operation of the compressor, stop it for troubleshooting.

3.2. For the safe operation of the compressor, it is necessary to control:

  • pressure and temperature of compressed air after each compression stage;
  • temperature of compressed air after refrigerators;
  • continuity of supply to compressors and refrigerators of cooling water;
  • the temperature of the cooling water entering and exiting the cooling system by points;
  • oil pressure and temperature in the lubrication system;
  • the correct operation of the lubricators and the oil level in them.
  • stator current, and with a synchronous electric drive - the rotor current of the electric motor.

3.3. The log should record the time of starting and stopping the compressor, the reasons for stopping, the observed malfunctions, the draining of condensate and oil from the moisture-oil separator, air collectors and other containers, as well as unscheduled cleaning of oil and air filters.

The work log must be checked and signed daily by the person responsible for the safe operation of the compressor station.

3.4. For the safe operation of pressure vessels, each body must be painted (or attached) with a table of the following content:

  • registration number;
  • allowed pressure;
  • date (month and year) of the next hydraulic test.

3.5. Perform regular external inspection of the compressor station equipment. If oil and water leaks are found, they must be repaired immediately. As a cleaning material, cotton or linen rags are used, which, in order to avoid spontaneous combustion, should be stored in a metal box with a lid.

3.6. For the safe operation of pipelines, maintenance personnel need to inspect them externally and check:

  • the condition of the welds;
  • flange connections, including fasteners;
  • tightness of all connections.

3.7. Air filters must be checked within the time limits specified in the operating instructions for pressure vessels (once per shift with an entry in the shift log).

3.8. Repair of electrical equipment, electrical network, knife switches, portable lamps, change of light bulbs and other electrical equipment is allowed only by electrical personnel.

4. Labor protection requirements in emergency situations

4.1. The compressor must be stopped immediately if:

  • pressure gauges on the discharge line show pressure above the allowable one;
  • the pressure gauge of the lubrication system of the movement mechanism shows the pressure below the permissible lower limit;
  • the supply of cooling water or other emergency malfunction of the cooling system suddenly stopped;
  • knocks, shocks are heard in the compressor or engine, or their malfunctions are detected, which can lead to an accident;
  • the temperature of the compressed air is above the maximum permissible norm;
  • a fire broke out;
  • there is a smell of burning or smoke from the compressor or electric motor;
  • noticeable increase in vibration of the compressor or engine.

4.2. The driver must emergency stop the compressor (press the "stop" button) and only then report to the management.

4.3. After an emergency shutdown of the compressor, it can be started with the permission of the person responsible for the safe operation of the compressor unit.

4.4. In the event of a sudden power outage, the driver is obliged to immediately transfer the starting devices of the electric motors and control levers to the "stop" position.

5. Labor protection requirements at the end of work

5.1. Tidy up the workplace.

Remove fixtures and tools to a specially designated place. Put the oiled rags in a metal container with a lid to avoid spontaneous combustion.

5.2. Inform the shift worker of all noticed shortcomings in the operation of the compressor station.

5.3. Make entries in the log of acceptance and delivery of the shift.

5.4. Report all shortcomings that have taken place to the master or head of the refrigeration compressor station.

5.5. Remove and put away in a specially designated place (closet) overalls.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Hydrogen fuel from sea water 30.03.2019

Hydrogen fuel is becoming increasingly important in today's world. So scientists at Stanford University and Peking University have figured out how to turn seawater into hydrogen fuel using a chemical reaction from a high school course.

So, according to the researchers, if you run an electric current through water, it splits into oxygen and hydrogen - the latter can be used as a reliable source of fuel with zero emissions.

Experts have developed a new metal coating for the electrodes used in the experiment, which would allow them to withstand the chemical reaction that occurs in salt water. Since an electric charge is needed to separate water into hydrogen and oxygen, scientists tried to make their device as environmentally friendly as possible by installing solar panels on it.

Chemist Hongjie Dai said the system could be installed on submarines or diving gear.

Hydrogen fuel cells can power a submarine or diver's equipment, while oxygen produced by a chemical reaction can be supplied to a person, replenishing his reserves so that he can breathe. At the same time, experts note that any practical application is not possible soon, since the study only demonstrates that such a technology, in principle, can work.

Until now, the processes have been based on purified fresh water, which is quite expensive. Producing hydrogen fuel from fresh water sources could create problems for those who have a life-saving need for the liquid, scientists say. This is especially true as climate change could soon exacerbate drought around the world.
