Safe Operation

1. General requirements for labor protection

1.1. Persons at least 18 years of age who have passed a medical commission, trained in the prescribed manner, and who have been instructed at the workplace are allowed to work on servicing a stone crushing plant.

1.2. The workers serving the stone crushing plant must monitor the health of all the nodes of the mechanisms and promptly inform the master about the problems with the installations.

1.3. Workers servicing a stone crushing plant should know:

  • stone crushing plant;
  • malfunctions and defects of the equipment;
  • safe operating practices of the installation;
  • rules for providing first aid to victims;
  • internal labor regulations.

1.4. Do not touch electrical equipment and electrical wires (especially beware of bare or broken wires), do not remove guards and protective covers from live parts of the equipment.

1.5. Do not repair electrical faults yourself.

1.6. Perform only assigned work.

1.7. Work on a stone crushing plant is prohibited when:

  • absence of protective barriers;
  • loosening the keys on the gears or flywheel, as well as loosening the fixing bolts;
  • spring tension damage in auger crushers;
  • weakening of the crushing plates.

1.8. The receiving hopper must be fenced from 3 sides (from the side and from the side opposite to unloading) with flow railings 1 m high.

2. Labor protection requirements before starting work

2.1. Put on overalls and tuck them in so that they enclose the body sufficiently, and also do not have untucked ends and unbuttoned cuffs.

2.2. Clean the work area and passages around the unit.

2.3. Conduct:

  • serviceability of the drive, actuators of the installation and its starting equipment;
  • availability, serviceability and reliability of fixed protective guards on rotating parts of the equipment;
  • availability and reliability of grounding of the motor housing and starting apparatus;
  • serviceability of insulation of electric power wiring to the electric motor and starting device;
  • the presence of a thrust beam in front of the receiving hopper, which limits the movement of the dump truck;
  • the operation of sound and light alarms to warn of the approach of vehicles, to supply the rock mass to the bunker.

3. Labor protection requirements during work

3.1. When starting the stone crushing plant, you should first turn on the unloading conveyors, then the vibrating screen (cylindrical screen), crusher and unloading conveyor (feeder).

3.2. When unloading crushers, the loaded material must match the size of the crusher's feed opening.

3.3. It is necessary to sell material for crushing only after the engine picks up (working) speed.

3.4. The discharge gap should be adjusted after the crusher is completely stopped and cleaned of crushing material.

3.5. It is forbidden to push a stone into the feed opening by hand, as well as with a shovel or crowbar. For this purpose, special hooks and screws should be used, while it is forbidden to bend over the receiving hole or remove jammed pieces of stone with your hands.

3.6. When vehicles approach the bunker receiver, turn on the light and sound alarms, and the workers move aside at a distance of at least 2 meters, and before loading, make sure that there are no people in the bunker and on the feeders.

3.7. The operation of the screen before loading must be checked by idling.

During the operation of the screen, it is necessary to monitor the condition of the desired suspension and the tension of the drive belts. In case of abnormal operation of the screen, it is necessary to stop and eliminate the malfunction.

3.8. Descent of people into the bunker for cleaning and repair is allowed only after the conveyor and feeder are stopped, the voltage is removed from the electric motor, with the direct control of the foreman or shift supervisor.

When descending, it is necessary to use brackets or metal ladders and safety belts. For one worker in the bunker, two spotters upstairs.

4. Labor protection requirements in emergency situations

4.1. If equipment defects are found that pose a danger to human life and the integrity of the equipment, immediately stop work, if possible, disconnect the electrical equipment from the mains, take measures to eliminate the accident, report the incident to the foreman.

4.2. In emergency situations (strong vibration of the vibrating screen cradle, in case of disruption of the normal operation of the stone crusher), stop work, leave the danger zone, if necessary, disconnect the electrical equipment from the mains. If there is a danger of an accident, take measures to prevent it. Provide first aid to the injured and notify the work manager.

5. Labor protection requirements at the end of work

5.1. The stop of the stone crushing plant should be carried out only after the processing of all the loaded material.

5.2. After finishing work on processing the material, the worker must:

  • make sure that the installation is disconnected from the mains and lock the starting switch;
  • clean the surfaces and mechanisms of the stone crushing plant from dirt;
  • clean up the workplace, clear the aisles of foreign objects;
  • Report any problems to the master.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Compact dishwasher does not require electricity 13.09.2015

A more or less normal dishwasher costs at least 300 USD, which is not so cheap, especially for students. That is why an Israeli student named Chen Levin came up with a dishwasher that does not use electronics and electricity.

In a sense, Levin "invented the wheel," as his machine, called the Circo, is powered by a crank that resembles a bicycle pedal. The idea of the mechanism is similar to a conventional dishwasher, since Circo has something like a centrifuge that sprays water from below. The inventor keeps the details of the design a secret due to the fact that he intends to attract investments and commercialize the device. However, according to him, it takes one minute to wash a full rack of dishes.

The stand is a conventional dish dryer, which is placed inside the device on a base filled with water. Sodium acetate tablets, commonly used in households as a component of chemical heating pads or heaters, should be added to the water to be heated, which also helps with cleaning dishes. Unlike a conventional dishwasher, which consumes about 10 liters of water, the Circo uses only 3 liters.

The creation of a hand car is part of an international design trend called Power from the People. The slogan plays on the slogan "Power to the people", put forward by Lenin and translated by Lennon as Power to the People, which can also be interpreted as "Energy to the People". Power from the People, accordingly, means receiving energy from the people through the use of the users' own efforts. The most impressive of these efforts is the attempt by the students of the University of Warwick (UK) to create a submarine, which is set in motion by the navigator lying in it using pedals attached to the rear propellers.
