I want to offer another circuit for a radio transmitter (radio microphone).

Based on a circuit published in amateur radio literature using a chip that I excluded. The scheme is good because it does not require varicaps, quartz and is assembled from available parts.

The range is 15...100 m, depending on the transmitting and receiving antennas.

Schematic diagram of the device is shown in the figure.

Simple radio microphone

The L1 coil for the FM band has 4 turns, for the VHF band - 6 turns, on a mandrel Ø 0,3 mm, with a wire Ø 0,6 mm.
Any dynamic or condenser microphone can be used as a microphone. The use of the MKE-3 microphone is undesirable due to the high noise level.

Setting up the transmitter consists in setting the operating frequency by shifting and expanding the turns of the L1 coil. It is best to control the operation of the radio microphone on a VHF broadcast receiver.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

Arrays of crystals transmitting efficient wireless power 31.08.2023

Scientists from the University of Colorado at Boulder have developed an unmanned aerial device that uses the energy of a laser beam.

In a study released by the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, the researchers described a flexible photomechanical material capable of converting light energy into mechanical work without the use of heat or electricity. This material offers promise for the development of efficient wireless and remotely controlled systems with applications in various industries, including robotics, aerospace, and biomedicine.

The material is based on the smallest organic crystals, which, under the influence of light, begin to bend and create mechanical force. This principle opens up the prospect of replacing electrical wires in devices using light energy. This approach enables wireless power and control of robots, autonomous devices and vehicles. In addition, the efficient conversion of light energy eliminates the need for complex temperature control systems and heavy electrical components.

This research runs counter to previous efforts involving delicate crystalline materials that change shape when exposed to photochemical reactions but often crack when exposed to light, making them difficult to use in practical applications.

The innovative method, developed in Hayward's lab, involves arrays of tiny organic crystals placed inside a polymer material with microscopic pores. With the growth of crystals in the pores of the material, their strength and ability to create energy under the influence of light increase significantly. The flexibility and formability of the material make it versatile for a variety of applications.

Oriented crystals are able to perform certain tasks when exposed to light, such as bending or lifting objects. When the material changes its shape by acting on the attached load, it creates motion and the load itself moves. Crystals are capable of moving objects much larger than their own weight. For example, as seen in the attached image, a strip of crystals weighing only 0,02 mg successfully lifts a 20 mg nylon ball, overcoming its own mass by 10 times.
