Safe Operation

1. General requirements for labor protection

1.1. Persons at least 18 years of age who have passed a medical examination and have no contraindications to work in this profession (specialty), introductory briefing and briefing at the workplace are allowed to work. Workers are allowed to work independently after an internship, verification of theoretical knowledge and acquired skills in safe ways of working. In the future, at the workplace, briefings on labor protection are held at least once every 3 months.

1.2. When transferring to a new job, from temporary to permanent, from one operation to another with a change in the technological process or equipment, employees must be instructed in labor protection at the workplace.

1.3. Conducting all types of briefings must be recorded in the Briefing Log with the obligatory signatures of the person who received and conducted the briefing.

1.4. Each employee is obliged to comply with the requirements of this instruction, labor and production discipline, work and rest regime, all requirements for labor protection, safe work performance, industrial sanitation, fire safety, electrical safety.

1.5. Smoking is allowed only in specially designated areas. The use of alcoholic beverages at work, as well as going to work in a state of alcoholic or drug intoxication, is prohibited.

1.6. When performing work, it is necessary to be attentive, not to be distracted by extraneous affairs and conversations, and not to distract others from work. It is forbidden to sit down and lean on random objects and fences.

1.7. It is not allowed to approach operating machines, installations, machines on which other workers work, and distract them with extraneous conversations, turn on or off (except in emergency cases) equipment, transport and lifting mechanisms, work on which is not assigned, go beyond the fences of hazardous areas, in the zones of technological passages.

1.8. The employer is obliged to provide workers with overalls, safety shoes, as well as personal protective equipment in accordance with the work they perform and in accordance with applicable standards. It is forbidden to work without overalls, safety shoes and other personal protective equipment laid down in accordance with the standards.

1.9. Each employee needs:

  • know the place of storage of the workshop first-aid kit;
  • be able to provide first aid for work-related injuries.

1.10. It is allowed to store and eat food only in established and equipped places.

1.11. It is forbidden to be in production premises in outerwear, undress or hang clothes, hats, bags on equipment.

1.12. Do not clutter up passages, driveways, workplaces, approaches to shields with fire fighting equipment, fire hydrants and a general switch.

1.13. Spilled cleaners, lubricants, water, etc. on the floor. wipe off immediately.

1.14. Cleaning materials impregnated with oil, paint, solvent, put in tightly closed metal boxes. Do not scatter these materials, at the end of the shift they should be removed from the premises.

1.15. Store fuels, lubricants and flammable liquids only in a tightly closed metal container (box) or cabinet in an amount not exceeding the replacement rate. Joint storage of acids and flammable and combustible liquids (gasoline, toluene, alcohol, kerosene, white spirit, etc.) is prohibited. Store chemicals in quantities not exceeding the established norms, in a tightly closed container with an inscription on the contents.

1.16. It is forbidden to repair equipment, fix electrical equipment and the electrical network to personnel who do not have access to these works, work near unshielded current-carrying parts, touch electrical wires, general lighting fittings, open doors of electrical cabinets, fencing of knife switches, switchboards and control panels.

1.17. Before smoking or eating, rinse your mouth thoroughly with water, rinse your hands with a 1-2% solution of acetic acid and wash with warm water and soap. For drinking, it is recommended to use 5% salted sparkling water.

1.18. Do not use lubricants for washing hands.

1.19. In working areas, daily wet cleaning or with the help of vacuum cleaners.

1.20. It is forbidden to be in the production room after the end of work.

1.21. The employee is responsible in accordance with applicable law for compliance with the requirements of instructions, industrial injuries and accidents that occurred through his fault.

1.22. The control of the implementation of this instruction is assigned to the head of the department.

2. Safety requirements before starting work

2.1. Put on overalls, fasten it with all buttons. Remove piercing and cutting objects from pockets. Prepare personal protective equipment, check their suitability. Prepare all devices and devices for work, check their serviceability. Check the condition of the workplace. Remove unnecessary items and tools from the work surface. Check if the ventilation system is turned on, remember that the ventilation system must be turned on 10 - 15 minutes beforehand. before starting work.

2.2. Check the serviceability of the boiler, safety equipment and devices, dry the device and molds. When heating the boiler with gas, ventilate the room, check that all gas taps have been closed and that there is no smell of gas. Check for traction. Open the tap on the gas pipeline in front of the burners, light a special igniter and bring it to the burner, slowly opening the tap located directly in front of the burner, adjust the gas supply with a valve until it burns steadily with a bluish-violet flame with a pronounced greenish cone, without yellow and smoky tongues.

2.3. Check and adjust workplace lighting.

2.4. Report all identified violations to the head of work and do not start work without their elimination.

3. Safety requirements during work

3.1. Perform only the work assigned by the head.

3.2. It is forbidden to allow persons who are not related to the assigned work to the workplace.

3.3. Load into the boiler only cleaned of paint and dry metal.

3.4. The level of molten metal in the boiler must be at least 8 cm from the upper edge of the boiler.

3.5. Crush antimony in a respirator, safety glasses and gloves.

3.6. When casting ingots on the throat-smelting installation, be on the right side of the machine.

3.7. Load the receiving trolley with no more than 9 - 10 castings to prevent them from falling under the conveyor.

3.8. When pouring metal by hand, fill the ladle no more than 3/4 of its volume.

3.9. Open the local shelter above the boiler during loading, mixing, pouring (manually) and cleaning.

3.10. Collect the slag in metal boxes with handles.

3.11. When heating the boiler with gas, monitor the combustion of gas in the burner (the gas must burn in all burner openings), maintain combustion without soot.

3.12. It is forbidden:

  • use the wrong tool;
  • fill the boiler with metal;
  • load the receiving trolley with more than 10 castings;
  • open the electrical equipment compartment without completely disconnecting the smelter from the mains;
  • fill molds;
  • load wet and painted metal into the boiler;
  • repair, adjust and clean equipment without disconnecting it from the network.

4. Safety requirements in emergency situations

4.1. In the event of a fire, immediately report the fire to everyone working in the room and proceed to extinguish the fire using the available fire extinguishing equipment.

4.2. When spilling metal, cover it with sand and, after cooling, remove it from the floor.

4.3. In the event of an accident with gas (strong leakage, explosion, etc.), close the valve, ventilate the room and call the emergency service.

4.4. If voltage (sensation of current) is detected on the metal parts of the equipment, turn off the equipment and report to the foreman about the malfunction of the electrical equipment and do not start work without his instructions.

4.5. In the event of a power outage, unusual noise and vibration for the equipment, turn off the machine.

4.6. In case of injury, first of all, release the victim from the traumatic factor, notify the work manager, call for medical assistance, provide first aid to the victim and maintain a traumatic situation until the causes of the incident are investigated.

5. Safety requirements at the end of work

5.1. Tidy up the workplace, remove tools, fixtures, flushing substances in the places allotted for them.

5.2. Report all malfunctions to the master, make an entry in the journal about the state of the equipment.

5.3. Take off your clothes and put them in the closet.

5.4. Wash face and hands with warm water and soap. Rinse your mouth with water, rinse your hands with a 1 - 2% solution of acetic acid.

Icis smart glasses, available now for pre-order, will not only embody the technological advancement of their owner, but also show that the owner of the device also has good taste and understands modern fashion. As for the technical characteristics, Icis will have the classic functionality for this class of devices: a camera (it will be absent in the beta versions of the gadget), a microphone, a speaker and a touchpad, and the glasses will act as displays, while covering the maximum field of view available for glasses. A friendly interface will automatically convert notifications from smartphones and other mobile gadgets running iOS, Android or Windows operating systems into an informative visual image on the lenses. The image resolution of the final Icis model with the Bold index will be 800x600 pixels, but the prototypes available from the middle of this year will have more modest parameters.

"Our main competitor is Google Glass, but the approach chosen by Laforge Optical specialists in creating Icis differs radically from the concept of competing companies. "Smart glasses" Icis are a symbiosis of modern fashion trends in accessories and the main technological solutions used in devices like Google Glass. True, in this case, the owner of such a gadget will not need to constantly look away at the display, which is not very conveniently located in the upper right corner - the entire surface of the Icis lenses will become an interactive display.

One of the innovative tasks set before the developers of Laforge Optical is to solve the problems of software compatibility of Icis with various platforms. For this, the SocialFlo application was created, which is responsible for sending notifications from installed applications on your mobile device and operator network. You just need to download the software to your smartphone and sync it with the Icis smart glasses via Bluetooth.

The creators of the device noted that their gadget will have three main modes of operation: normal, active (with a limit on the number of notifications displayed) and the "Drive" mode, which will filter all transmitted information that is not related to the process of driving a car. Icis will also go on sale in three different versions, giving the buyer the right to choose exactly the style that he most sympathizes with.

As for the cost of new items, here the price is differentiated depending on the type of kit and version of the device. By leaving a deposit of $ 220 to participate in the testing program, you can get acquainted with the early prototype of the gadget. If you want to become the owner of the basic Icis Early Beta Kit (IEBK) immediately and without any obligations, you will need to pay $820 for the device. In this case, you will be able to start full-fledged testing in the summer of this year. At the end of 2014, the next modification will appear - Icis Early Kit (IBK) at a price of $420, and you can upgrade the previous version of "smart glasses" to the IEK version by sending your gadget back to the manufacturer. It will also be possible to exchange the Icis Early Kit for the already serial version of Icis, paying an additional $200 for this.

The final release, which implies the launch of the Icis Bold model, is scheduled for early 2015. Here, buyers can already choose from three stylistic solutions for the gadget. The technical characteristics of the novelty will also change: the resolution of the lenses will be equal to 800x600 pixels, while in IEBK and IBK it was, according to preliminary information, 640x480 pixels.
