Ease of manufacture, high speed and high maneuverability - these are the main qualities of this model. It is fully consistent with the modern style of air combat. An average aircraft modeler can make it in ten days.

The fuselage will take the most time. First, cut out the motor mount from 10 mm thick plywood, then glue pine slats of the appropriate length with a section of 10x3 mm into the end cutouts. In the place where the trailing edge of the wing and the stabilizer are attached, put lime inserts on the glue. Fill the gap from the motor mount to the first insert with hard foam, and reinforce the tail boom with lime braces. Outside (to the side surfaces of the rails), glue the linden veneer.

Cut the keel out of 1 mm thick plywood and fix it in the groove of the top rail.

The wing (in plan) is a trapezoid consisting of 14 ribs, 2 spars, leading and trailing edges. Sew up the gap between the two central ribs with lime veneer. To compensate for the weight of the cords, load the outer half of the wing with 15 g of lead.

Make a rocking chair from duralumin 1,5 mm thick and fix it on a steel axle made of OBC wire Ø1 mm. It is installed in the holes of the spars.

Rod made of pine rail Ø5 mm with axles made of OBC wire Ø1 mm.

The stabilizer and elevator are made of linden 2,5 mm thick. Bring the ends and trailing edges to a thickness of 1 mm.

Saw the boar out of 1 mm thick celluloid and insert it tightly into the groove of the elevator, having previously lubricated it with enamel.

Glue the wing and stabilizer to the fuselage with epoxy resin. After the glue and resin have dried, cover the wing with colored mica paper and cover it five or six times with liquid enamel.

Solder the fuel tank from tinplate and fasten it to the motor mount with threads soaked in glue.

A New Way to Control and Manipulate Optical Signals 05.05.2024

The modern world of science and technology is developing rapidly, and every day new methods and technologies appear that open up new prospects for us in various fields. One such innovation is the development by German scientists of a new way to control optical signals, which could lead to significant progress in the field of photonics. Recent research has allowed German scientists to create a tunable waveplate inside a fused silica waveguide. This method, based on the use of a liquid crystal layer, allows one to effectively change the polarization of light passing through a waveguide. This technological breakthrough opens up new prospects for the development of compact and efficient photonic devices capable of processing large volumes of data. The electro-optical control of polarization provided by the new method could provide the basis for a new class of integrated photonic devices. This opens up great opportunities for ... >>

Primium Seneca keyboard 05.05.2024

Keyboards are an integral part of our daily computer work. However, one of the main problems that users face is noise, especially in the case of premium models. But with the new Seneca keyboard from Norbauer & Co, that may change. Seneca is not just a keyboard, it is the result of five years of development work to create the ideal device. Every aspect of this keyboard, from acoustic properties to mechanical characteristics, has been carefully considered and balanced. One of the key features of Seneca is its silent stabilizers, which solve the noise problem common to many keyboards. In addition, the keyboard supports various key widths, making it convenient for any user. Although Seneca is not yet available for purchase, it is scheduled for release in late summer. Norbauer & Co's Seneca represents new standards in keyboard design. Her ... >>

The world's tallest astronomical observatory opened 04.05.2024

Exploring space and its mysteries is a task that attracts the attention of astronomers from all over the world. In the fresh air of the high mountains, far from city light pollution, the stars and planets reveal their secrets with greater clarity. A new page is opening in the history of astronomy with the opening of the world's highest astronomical observatory - the Atacama Observatory of the University of Tokyo. The Atacama Observatory, located at an altitude of 5640 meters above sea level, opens up new opportunities for astronomers in the study of space. This site has become the highest location for a ground-based telescope, providing researchers with a unique tool for studying infrared waves in the Universe. Although the high altitude location provides clearer skies and less interference from the atmosphere, building an observatory on a high mountain poses enormous difficulties and challenges. However, despite the difficulties, the new observatory opens up broad research prospects for astronomers. ... >>

Strong emotions bring people together 08.06.2012

Researchers from Aalto University and the Turku PET Center have found that experiencing strong emotions literally synchronizes the brain activity of different individuals.

Human emotions are highly contagious. Various emotional manifestations, such as a smile, often evoke corresponding emotional reactions in the observer as well. This synchronization of emotional states in humans can support social interaction. When all members of a group share a common emotional state, their brains and bodies process environmental information in the same way.

This discovery by Finnish scientists shows for the first time how strong emotions bring people together. In their study, the scientists used functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) recordings of subjects' brain activity while watching short pleasant, neutral, and unpleasant films. As a result, it turned out that especially strong negative emotions synchronize the neural networks of information processing in the frontal and middle regions of the brain. Highly exciting and exciting events in turn cause synchronized activity in the neural networks that provide vision, attention and touch.

The joint experience of emotional states synchronizes the somatosensory system, which collects information about the state of the body and the environment and transmits it to the sensory areas of the brain. This mechanism allows you to automatically "tune in" and "sync" with other people, which facilitates social interaction and group activities.

The study by Finnish scientists is of great importance for improving the current "neural" models of human emotions and group behavior. It also explains some aspects of mental disorders associated with antisocial behavior.
