1.2. Harmful and dangerous production factors: moving machines and mechanisms, moving parts of production equipment, moving products, blanks, materials.

Sources of factors: moving flooring machine, rotating drive pulleys, rotating rollers, mechanical and pneumatic clamps, cutting tools, loading device.

Effect of factors: contact of hands working with moving and rotating parts of equipment, clamping devices and cutting tools.

1.3. Personal protective equipment: cotton semi-overalls; cotton gloves; respirator type "Astra-2"; goggles.

2. Safety requirements before starting work

2.1. When working on the spreader, make sure:

  • in good condition running rollers of the guide rail and pneumatic clamps;
  • in the integrity and strength of the fastening of compressed air hoses at the joints with fittings and coupling clamps; availability and serviceability of protective devices.

Check the fastening and sharpness of sharpening the cutting tool; the health of the boot device; serviceability of starting, braking and blocking devices.

2.2. When working on an electric cutting machine:

  • check the serviceability of the knife guard;
  • make sure that there are no cracks and notches;
  • check the sharpness of sharpening the knife blade, the strength of its fastening;
  • check the integrity of the electrical cable;
  • monitor the oil level in the oiler; serviceability of the locking device of the presser foot;
  • make sure there are no dents or cracks on the cutting table; serviceability of starting and sharpening devices.

Assistance should begin with the most significant that threatens life or health (in case of severe bleeding, apply a tourniquet, and then bandage the wound; if a closed fracture is suspected, apply a splint; for open fractures, first bandage the wound and then apply a splint; in case of burns, apply a dry bandage ; in case of frostbite, gently rub the affected area using soft or fluffy tissues). If spinal injury is suspected, transport the victim only in the supine position on a rigid base.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>
