Safe Operation

1. General safety requirements

General labor protection requirements are set out in the instructions "General requirements for labor protection for workers engaged in logging and forestry work".

2. Safety requirements before starting work

2.1. Receive instructions from the master on the order of work and do not change it without his knowledge.

2.2. Check the completeness, serviceability and put on overalls, safety shoes and safety devices. Fasten buttons, tuck in cuffs, put hair under a scarf (headdress).

2.3. Check the serviceability of safety equipment and industrial sanitation:

the air temperature in the room of the cone dryer, where the seeds are processed and the cones are loaded, should not be more than +28 degrees. WITH;
the room for dewinging seeds must be equipped with ventilation;
stairs, balconies, galleries are equipped with railings 1 m high with sides at the bottom not less than 15 cm high;
the height of the attic in places where the cones are filled into the drums and on the grate through the hatch must be at least 2,3 m, the hatches are fenced, and the supply of cones to the attic is mechanized;
the handle of the drum with a manual drive is equipped with a ratchet wheel with a latch, the metal mesh should not have unfinished ends of the wire;
a mobile cone dryer is installed no closer than 50 m from the buildings;
stationary and mobile cone dryers are equipped with lightning rods and fire extinguishers;
the lighting of the drying chamber is carried out by closed lamps with a voltage of 12-42 volts, switched on from the outside of the chamber, the locks must ensure the opening of the chamber from the outside and from the inside.

2.4. The operator of a cone dryer equipped with electrical equipment, in addition to general training in labor protection, must be trained in the Electrical Safety Rules.

2.5. The cone dryer should have a washbasin, soap, a towel, a tank of drinking water, a first aid kit, a logbook, and fire extinguishing equipment.

3. Safety requirements during work

3.1. Loading of cones and processing of seeds must be carried out at an air temperature of not more than +28 degrees. WITH.

3.2. Dewing seeds should be carried out with the ventilation turned on.

3.3. The stay of an employee in the drying chamber during its operation should not be more than 5 minutes. during each operation (opening-closing drum covers, control, etc.).

3.4. When performing work related to a long stay in the drying chamber (seed harvesting, repairs, etc.), it is necessary to reduce the temperature to +28 degrees. C, stop the equipment and remove the voltage, display a sign on the control panel "Do not turn on, people are working!" The entrance to the cell is insured by the duty officer from the brigade.

3.5. In a cone dryer without an insulated drying chamber, it is not allowed to perform any other types of work during the drying period.

3.6. It is not allowed to ignite the furnace (boiler) using flammable liquids. The chimney of the cone dryer is cleaned with a chimney cleaner once a year.

3.7. Dewing, cleaning and sorting of seeds with lionfish are carried out mechanized.

3.8. Do not allow unauthorized persons to be in the cone dryer during operation.

4. Safety requirements in emergency situations

4.1. Stop work in the event of an emergency, remove people from hazardous areas and report the incident to the immediate supervisor (official).

4.2. In case of fire: take measures to extinguish the fire with the available means, if possible - eliminate the fire, in case of a threat to life - leave the building, report the incident to the administration, to the fire department.

4.3. In case of an accident, provide the victim with first aid, if necessary, take measures to deliver him to a medical institution, inform the administration about the case, and, if possible, preserve the situation of the incident.

5. Safety requirements at the end of work

5.1. Stop and de-energize mechanisms and equipment, turn off the main switch.

5.2. Take off overalls and shoes, clean them and free from dust, put in storage.

5.3. Perform hygiene procedures.

5.4. Report the comments on the shift to the immediate supervisor, enter the comments in the journal of administrative and public control on labor protection.
