General safety requirements 1.1. On the basis of this instruction, labor protection instructions are developed for workers involved in the processes of applying metal plating when cleaning parts in a tumbling drum (hereinafter referred to as workers engaged in cleaning parts in a tumbling drum). 1.2. To perform cleaning of parts in the tumbling drum, workers are allowed at least 18 years of age who have mastered safe methods and techniques for performing work, methods and techniques for the correct handling of mechanisms, devices, tools, as well as with loads. 1.3. To work on hoisting machines controlled from the floor, to hang the load on the hook of such machines, workers are allowed at least 18 years old, trained in a special program, certified by the examination committee of the organization and having a certificate for the right to use hoisting machines and hooking loads. 1.4. When performing work, it is necessary to follow the accepted technology for cleaning parts in a tumbling drum. It is not allowed to use methods leading to violation of labor safety requirements. 1.5. In case of any questions related to its safe performance in the process of work, you must contact your immediate or higher manager. 1.6. Employees involved in cleaning parts in the tumbling drum are required to comply with the internal labor regulations of the organization. 1.7. When cleaning parts in a tumbling drum, a worker may be exposed to dangerous and harmful production factors:
1.8. Workers involved in cleaning parts in the tumbling drum must be provided with personal protective equipment. 1.9. The room in which parts are cleaned in the tumbling drum must be isolated from other production areas and equipped with an air-purifying supply and exhaust ventilation system. 1.10. On the tumbling drum, the "Start" button should be painted black, recessed into the nest of the button box cover. The "Stop" button should be above the level of the front ring of the box lid and should be colored red. 1.11. Tumbling drums must be lined with soundproof and noise dampening materials. 1.12. Tumbling drums must be equipped with locking devices to stop the rotation of the drum when the lid is opened. 1.13. The temperature of the parts entering the tumbling drums should not exceed 45°C. 1.14. Loaded products and abrasive materials should occupy about 80% of the volume of the drum, and the volume occupied by the abrasive should be twice the volume occupied by the parts. 1.15. The order of laying parts must be established in the technological documentation. 1.16. The speed of rotation of the tumbling drums must be specified in the technological documentation. 1.17. In the event of an accident, a worker cleaning parts in a tumbling drum must stop work, notify his immediate or superior supervisor and seek medical attention. 1.18. An employee who cleans parts in a tumbling drum must follow the rules of personal hygiene: before eating and after finishing work, wash their hands with warm water and soap. Food must be taken in rooms specially equipped for this purpose. 1.19. Workers involved in cleaning parts in the tumbling drum must be able to provide first aid to the victim. 1.20. Workers involved in cleaning parts in the tumbling drum who do not comply with the requirements of this manual are held liable in accordance with applicable law. 2. Safety requirements before starting work 2.1. Inspect the workplace, put it in order, clear the aisles and do not clutter them up. 2.2. Inspect, tidy up and put on personal protective equipment. 2.3. Make sure that the floor is dry and the foot grate located at the tumbling drum is stable and in good working order. 2.4. Turn on and check ventilation. Cleaning of parts in the tumbling drum should be carried out only with active ventilation. Turn on ventilation at least five minutes before starting work. 2.5. Check availability and serviceability:

When working with lifting mechanisms, check their serviceability and comply with the requirements of the relevant labor protection instructions. 3. Safety requirements during work 3.1. Keep the work area clean and free from clutter. 3.2. Loading, stacking and removal of parts should be carried out with the power supply of the tumbling drum turned off. 3.3. Check the presence of parts in the drum, their configuration. Do not overload the drum. 3.4. After loading the parts, turn the tumbling drum into working position. 3.5. It is forbidden to fill in and unload parts during the rotation of the tumbling drum. 3.6. Transport the cleaned parts using a lifting mechanism to a designated area for drying. 3.7. Check the serviceability of the system of interlocks, alarms, limit switches, chains, hooks and devices for hanging parts and the reliability of their fastening. 3.8. Do not allow unauthorized persons who are not related to this work to work in the areas of cleaning parts in tumbling drums. 4. Safety requirements in emergency situations 4.1. If a malfunction of the tumbling drum is detected, it is necessary to disconnect it from the mains supply and notify your immediate or superior manager about this. 4.2. In case of injury, poisoning and sudden illness, the victim should be provided with first (pre-medical) aid and, if necessary, his delivery to a healthcare facility should be organized. 4.3. In case of electric shock, take measures to release the victim from the action of the current as soon as possible. 4.4. When rotating parts of machines, slings, cargo hooks and other equipment capture parts of the body or clothing, give a signal to stop work and, if possible, take measures to stop the machine (equipment). You should not try to free yourself from the grip if it is possible to attract others. 4.5. In the event of a fire:
