General safety requirements

1. Employees not younger than 18 years of age who have undergone appropriate training, have II electrical safety group and professional skills for this profession, before being allowed to work independently, must undergo:

mandatory preliminary (when applying for a job) and periodic (during employment) medical examinations (examinations) for recognition as fit for work in the manner established by the Ministry of Health of Russia;
training in safe methods and techniques for performing work, briefing on labor protection, internships at the workplace and testing knowledge of labor protection requirements.

2. Drivers are obliged to comply with labor safety requirements to ensure protection from the impact of hazardous and harmful production factors related to the nature of work:

noise;
vibration;
increased content of dust and harmful substances in the air of the working area;
moving machines, mechanisms and their parts;
increased voltage in the electrical circuit, the closure of which can pass through the human body.

3. To protect against general industrial pollution and mechanical impacts, drivers are required to use cotton overalls provided by employers free of charge, rubber boots, combined mittens, suits with insulating padding and felt boots for the winter period.

Drivers must wear safety helmets when on site.

4. Being on the territory of the construction (production) site, in production and amenity premises, work sites and workplaces, drivers are required to comply with the internal labor regulations adopted in this organization.

Admission of unauthorized persons, as well as employees in a state of intoxication to these places is prohibited.

5. In the course of daily activities, drivers must:

apply during the operation of the machine for its intended purpose, in accordance with the instructions of the manufacturers;
keep the vehicle in good technical condition. Avoiding work with malfunctions in which operation is prohibited;
be careful during work and avoid violations of labor safety requirements.

6. Drivers are obliged to immediately notify their immediate or superior supervisor of any situation that threatens the life and health of people, about each accident that occurred at work, or about the deterioration of their health, including the appearance of an acute occupational disease (poisoning).

Safety requirements before starting work

7. Before starting work, the driver must:

a) present to the work manager a certificate of checking the knowledge of safe work methods, receive an assignment and be instructed at the workplace on the specifics of the work performed;

b) put on overalls and special footwear of the established sample.

8. After receiving the task, the driver must:

a) check the workplace and approaches to it for compliance with safety requirements and remove unnecessary materials and objects;

b) get acquainted with the entries in the log of the acceptance and delivery of shifts;

c) check the serviceability of the grounding of the electrical equipment of the station (the ground loop must be connected to the frame of the painting station) and the safety of the supply cables;

d) make sure that the mechanisms of the painting station, inventory, hoses, tools and electrical wiring are in good condition, check the operation at idle and forced ventilation by turning them on for a short time;

e) if it is necessary to install the station at a new location, together with the work manager, determine the location of the station;

f) install the station on a leveled site outside the danger zones from buildings under construction, transported goods, working machines and mechanisms, pits and trenches. The body of the station after installation in a new place should be fixed in a stable position, excluding its spontaneous displacement, with outriggers or wheel chocks (shoes);

g) after installing the station at a new location, call an electrician on duty to connect the station to the mains and protective grounding and an alarm device with a workplace for the painter-operator.

9. The operation of the painting station is not allowed in case of the following violations of safety requirements:

a) malfunctions specified in the manufacturer's instructions for the operation of the painting station, in which its use is not allowed;

b) untimely conduct of regular tests (technical inspection) of the painting station;

c) insufficient illumination and clutter of the workplace;

d) malfunctions of pressure gauges in the pneumatic system;

e) the absence or malfunction of protective grounding or signaling with the workplace of the painter-operator.

The detected malfunctions and violations must be eliminated on their own, and if it is impossible to do this, the driver is obliged to report them to the work manager or the person responsible for maintaining the station in good condition.

Safety requirements during work

10. During the work of the painting station, the driver must:

a) monitor the uniform loading of materials into the mixing device and the correct dosage of the components in the preparation of putties and paints;

b) control the serviceability of all mechanisms of the painting station, the presence of lubrication on the rubbing surfaces of the mechanisms, the condition of bearings and electric motors;

c) prevent pressure in the system of the painting station, the value of which exceeds the passport data of the compressor;

d) turn off the drives of the mechanisms upon detection of malfunctions in their operation until these malfunctions are eliminated.

11. During the work of the painting station, the driver is prohibited from:

a) leave the station unattended;

b) remove the guards of moving parts;

c) work with a faulty or unchecked pressure gauge, as well as when the pressure gauge indicates a pressure higher than the permissible one (indicated in the station passport);

d) use open fire and self-made electric heaters;

e) accumulate empty containers (jars, flasks) from under paints and varnishes and solvents.

12. The compressor air collector valve must be adjusted to a pressure exceeding the operating pressure by no more than 10%. Pressure gauges and safety valves must be sealed.

13. To fasten hoses to fittings and nipples, it is necessary to use inventory clamps. It is forbidden to fasten the sleeves with twists. Before connecting, the hoses should be purged and tested for a pressure exceeding the working pressure by 1,5 times.

14. Inspection or maintenance of the painting station during operation is allowed only when the drives of its mechanisms are turned off and the pressure is reduced to atmospheric pressure in the air duct system and the compressor air collector.

15. After troubleshooting, a record of the existing faults and the completeness of their elimination should be made in the shift acceptance and delivery log.

16. The resumption of the work of the painting station is allowed after the driver gives a warning signal and receives a return signal from the painter-operator.

17. Imported paint compositions and polymeric materials should be used only if there is a sanitary and epidemiological conclusion on their use in accordance with the requirements of sanitary rules and instructions.

Safety requirements in emergency situations

18. In the event of malfunctions in the painting station, its work should be stopped. If it is not possible to eliminate the malfunctions on their own, then the driver is obliged to notify the work manager and the person responsible for maintaining the painting station in good condition about the incident.

19. In case of ignition of paint compositions or other materials, the driver is obliged to immediately start extinguishing the fires with a stationary fire extinguisher and other improvised means. If it is impossible to do this on your own, you must call the fire brigade and inform the foreman and work manager.

20. In the event of a sharp drop in pressure in the external network or a message about a hose rupture, the driver must immediately turn off the air supply.

Safety requirements at the end of work

21. At the end of the work, the driver must:

a) disconnect the painting station from the mains and lock the starting switch with a lock;

b) clean the moving parts of the mechanisms and units of the station after their complete stop;

c) put the tools and accessories in the places intended for their storage, put the station premises in order;

d) inform the work manager and the person responsible for maintaining the station in good condition about all the problems that arose during work.
