1.1. Students from the 7th grade who have been instructed in labor protection, a medical examination and have no contraindications for health reasons are allowed to conduct laboratory work and a laboratory workshop in physics.

1.2. Students must comply with the rules of conduct, the schedule of training sessions, the established work and rest regimes.

1.3. During laboratory work and a laboratory workshop in physics, students may be exposed to the following hazardous and harmful production factors:

  • electric shock when working with electrical appliances;
  • thermal burns when heating liquids and various physical bodies;
  • hand cuts due to careless handling of laboratory glassware and glassware;
  • the occurrence of a fire due to careless handling of flammable and combustible liquids.

1.4. The physics room must be equipped with a first aid kit with a set of necessary medicines and dressings in accordance with the Rules for first aid for injuries.

1.5. When conducting laboratory work and a laboratory workshop in physics, observe the fire safety rules, know the location of the primary fire extinguishing equipment. The physics room must be equipped with primary fire extinguishing equipment: a foam fire extinguisher, a carbon dioxide or powder fire extinguisher, a box with sand and a cape made of fire-retardant fabric.

1.6. The victim or eyewitness of the accident must immediately inform the teacher (teacher) about each accident. In the event of a malfunction of equipment, fixtures and tools, stop work and inform the teacher (teacher) about this.

1.7. In the process of work, students must follow the procedure for conducting laboratory work and laboratory workshops, the rules of personal hygiene, and keep the workplace clean.

1.8. Students who have failed to comply with or violate the instructions on labor protection are held accountable and unscheduled instruction on labor protection is carried out with all students.

2. Labor protection requirements before starting work

2.1. Carefully study the content and procedure for conducting laboratory work or laboratory practice, as well as safe methods for its implementation.

2.2. Prepare the workplace for work, remove foreign objects. Devices and equipment should be placed in such a way as to prevent their falling and overturning.

2.3. Check the serviceability of equipment, instruments, the integrity of laboratory glassware and glassware.

3. Labor protection requirements during work

3.1. Accurately follow all the instructions of the teacher (teacher) when conducting laboratory work or laboratory work, without his permission, do not perform any work independently.

3.2. When working with a spirit lamp, protect clothing and hair from ignition, do not light one spirit lamp from another, do not remove the burner with a wick from a burning spirit lamp, do not blow out the spirit lamp flame with your mouth, but extinguish it by covering it with a special cap.

3.3. When heating a liquid in a test tube or flask, use special holders (tripods), do not point the opening of the test tube or the neck of the flask at yourself and your comrades.

3.4. To avoid burns, heat liquid and other physical bodies no higher than 60-70°C, do not take them with unprotected hands.

3.5. Be careful when handling glassware and laboratory glassware, do not throw, drop or hit them.

3.6. Monitor the serviceability of all fixtures in devices and fixtures, do not touch or lean close to the rotating and moving parts of machines and mechanisms.

3.7. When assembling the electrical circuit, use wires with lugs, without visible damage to the insulation, avoid crossing wires, connect the power source last.

3.8. The assembled electrical circuit is switched on under voltage only after it has been checked by a teacher (teacher) or a laboratory assistant.

3.9. Do not touch live electrical circuit elements, stationary electrical equipment cases, capacitor terminals, do not switch circuits until the current source is turned off.

3.10. Check the presence of voltage in the electrical circuit only with instruments.

3.11. Do not allow extreme loads of measuring instruments.

3.12. Do not leave unattended electrical devices and appliances unattended.

4. Labor protection requirements in emergency situations

4.1. If a malfunction is detected in the operation of electrical devices under voltage, their increased heating, sparking, the smell of burnt insulation, etc. immediately turn off the power supply and inform the teacher (teacher) about it.

4.2. In the event that laboratory glassware or glassware breaks, do not collect their fragments with unprotected hands, but use a brush and a dustpan for this purpose.

4.3. In the event of a spill of a flammable liquid and its ignition, immediately inform the teacher (teacher) about it and, at his direction, leave the room.

4.4. In case of injury, inform the teacher (teacher) about it, who will immediately provide first aid to the victim and inform the administration of the institution, if necessary, send the victim to the nearest medical institution.

5. Labor protection requirements at the end of work

5.1. Disconnect power source. Discharge the capacitors with an insulated conductor and disassemble the electrical circuit.

5.2. To dismantle the installation for heating the liquid after it has cooled down.

5.3. Tidy up the workplace, hand over to the teacher (teacher) instruments, equipment, materials and wash hands thoroughly with soap and water.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Life in nature changes the way the body works 19.11.2015

Researchers have long noticed that living outdoors reduces the incidence of cardiovascular and respiratory diseases, diabetes, obesity, depression, and even cancer. But how it works, what exactly changes in the body is unclear.

Ming Kuo, a researcher at the University of Illinois, tried to figure this out. She studied many literature sources and found twenty-one possible reasons for improving health in nature. Moreover, only two of them had a common feature - the activation of the immune system.

"This means that the influence is complex: several factors act simultaneously, complementing each other," says Ming Kuo. But what provokes the action of factors? According to the author of the hypothesis, the reason is psychological. In nature, a city dweller feels relaxed, more secure than in a city where he constantly has to fight with his own kind and with circumstances. As a result, a different mode of operation of the body is switched on. In the city, all its resources are redirected to the fight, and there is no strength left for anything else. In nature, the body goes into the mode of rest and accumulation, resources are spent more economically.

Thus, no inhalation of phytoncides and visits to the solarium will replace a full-fledged country vacation.
