OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH
Instructions for labor protection when servicing bowling equipment. Full Document Occupational Safety and Health / Standard instructions for labor protection Safe Operation Working Safely When Servicing Pinsetters GS Series As with any other machinery, as with the Pinsetter (hereinafter referred to as the GS Pinsetter), there is an element of risk if the appropriate safety requirements are not observed. Under normal circumstances, knowledge of how the pinsetter works and basic safety precautions will prevent the possibility of injury to personnel operating the pinsetter. 1. Only specially trained mechanics may work with pinsetters. 2. Only special tools should be used for work. Before turning on the machine, remove all tools from it. 3. When working with the pinsetter, special work clothes should be worn. Do not wear ties or other loose clothing that could get caught in the car. Shoes must have a safe non-slip sole. 4. Avoid using toxic and poisonous cleaners. 5. When working, always have a fire extinguisher at hand that is in working order. Rags for greasing should be stored in a fireproof container. 6. Care must be taken when positioning the mechanic in front of the machine, as when the gassetter is on, movement of your hand or foot may trigger a photocell, after which the machine will begin the work cycle. 7. When working with one GS pinsetter, turn off the toggle switch on the High Voltage box or the rear toggle switch located on the pin lift, move the stop / run toggle switch on the Low Voltage box to the stop position (stop). If more than one mechanic is working on the machine, both switches must be turned off to avoid having the first mechanic turn the machine on before the other has finished working on it. 8. When working with both machines of the same pair of lanes (for example, with an electronic control unit or a ball accelerator), turn off the power at the Common Box and disconnect the power cable from it, turn off the power at the Combined High Voltage Box and disconnect the power cable from the High Voltage Box. 9. When using a pinsetter or ball accelerator, the pin shield must always be in the down position. 10. When maintenance is required from below the setting table, use a jack or other auxiliary equipment to support the center of the table. Safe work with the counter As with any machine, failure to follow safety guidelines when handling a Frameworx type scoring meter involves risk. Common sense knowledge of the pinsetting machine and scoring machine and basic safety precautions will help prevent injury to personnel working with these machines. 1. Only properly trained persons should operate the scoring counter. 2. Always disconnect mains power before dismantling any scoring units or other equipment to avoid personal injury. 3. It is not allowed to bypass or bypass any safety interlocks provided in the equipment. 4. All adjustments to the equipment should always be made with one hand. The other hand should be behind the back to avoid electric shock or electric shock. 5. Before removing or working on printed circuit boards and electronic modules, discharge any static charge accumulated on the body by touching the metal chassis of nearby equipment. 6. Before applying mains voltage to any piece of equipment, make sure that all bystanders are at a sufficient distance. 7. Do not spray printed circuit boards with aerosols. If cleaning is necessary, remove the module, moisten a cloth and wipe the board and its connections with this cloth. 8. Avoid using metal adjustment tools. 9. Remove all loose jewelry and large rings before working on the equipment. 10. Always use tools designed for this type of work. All tools must be removed before turning on the equipment. 11. Wear appropriate clothing and shoes with safe non-slip soles when operating the pin-setting machines. The machine may pick up a tie or loose clothing. 12. The use of toxic or poisonous cleaning agents should be avoided. 13. A fire extinguisher must be placed near the machine and must be kept in working condition. Store oily rags in a fireproof container. 14. Be careful when standing in front of the pin-setting machine. If it is turned on, your foot or hand may accidentally turn on the machine if it is equipped with an autostart system. 15. Always lower the scraper or ejector board when operating the pin-setting machine. 16. After maintenance of the equipment, all guards must be returned to their place.
