Safe Operation

1. General safety requirements

1.1. Persons at least 18 years of age who have undergone a medical examination, general safety training and instruction directly at the workplace are allowed to work as a technician for the repair and maintenance of radio equipment.

After checking the knowledge of safety, methods of performing work on the equipment, an appropriate certificate is issued. In the future, the knowledge of the workers of the safety regulations is checked annually.

1.2. Each technician for the repair and maintenance of radio equipment must be familiar with the rules for the technical operation of electrical installations (television and radio equipment) and have an appropriate electrical safety group (Group 4).

1.3. A technician for the repair and maintenance of radio equipment is obliged to strictly comply with the safety regulations established for personnel servicing television and radio equipment.

1.4. Internal regulations must be strictly followed.

2. Safety requirements before starting work

2.1. The technician for the repair and maintenance of radio equipment is obliged to tidy up the overalls, fasten the cuffs so that there are no developing ends.

2.2. It is necessary to inspect and tidy up the workplace, remove objects that interfere with work, check the serviceability of the working tool and arrange it in a convenient and safe order for use.

2.3. Take measures to exclude the possibility of supplying voltage to the place of work.

2.4. Get the necessary protective equipment.

3. Safety requirements during work

3.1. You can work only with a serviceable tool and use it for its intended purpose. Tool handles must be insulated.

3.2. When preparing radio equipment and repairing, it is imperative to remove the voltage. It is necessary to check the presence of voltage in the network only with special devices: a voltmeter, a voltage indicator.

3.3. During preventive maintenance of radio equipment, be careful, especially electrical inputs.

3.4. When considering fuse links, fuses should be changed with the power removed.

3.5. It is forbidden to leave bare wires without insulation, the ends of the wires even without voltage.

3.6. When servicing equipment from ladders, ladders must be equipped with hooks that do not allow them to move apart arbitrarily during operation. The height of the ladder must not exceed 5m.

3.7. Electrical insulation must be good. Do not leave electrical wiring with damaged insulation energized.

3.8. When using an electric soldering iron, make sure that it is grounded and has a fixed stand.

3.9. During breaks in work, when carrying an electrified tool to another place, the tool must be turned off. It is forbidden to leave an electrified tool connected to the mains unattended.

3.10. When repairing radio equipment on a call at home, all electrical safety rules are followed, with personal responsibility for the safety of the work of the technician for the installation and repair of television equipment.

3.11. To clean dust from radio equipment, use a vacuum cleaner, a special brush when the voltage is off on the TV.

4. Safety requirements in emergency situations

4.1. In the event of a fire on the radio equipment, you must immediately disconnect from the network, throw a blanket over it, cutting off air access to the internal parts of the TV, inform the manager.

4.2. In case of injury, call an ambulance, inform the head.

5. Safety requirements upon completion of work

5.1. Tidy up the workplace, check and fold tools, fixtures and personal protective equipment.

5.2. Notify the supervisor of any comments during the work process.

5.3. Wash hands with soap and remove clothing.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

When detour doesn't help 13.12.2010

What to do if a congestion of cars regularly paralyzes traffic on a busy highway? It would seem that the answer is obvious: we need to build another road. But it was not there.

According to a paradox formulated in 1968 by the German mathematician Dietrich Brass, an additional road will not help solve the transport problem at all. It will only increase the time that motorists spend on the passage of a problematic section of the highway. If mathematical ignorance prevails and an additional road is nevertheless built, the only right decision is to get rid of it as soon as possible, returning the transport network to its former structure.

Indeed, there have been real cases (in Seoul, Stuttgart, New York and other major cities) where the closure of a newly built bypass speeds up traffic and reduces traffic jams.

The transport collapse of recent years forced mathematicians from the University of Massachusetts (USA) to return to the well-known paradox again. Calculations have shown that in modern conditions, when the accumulation of cars in big cities has reached a certain level, the new road will not worsen traffic in any way - it will simply not be used.

According to scientists, drivers will change their habits and stop using obviously hopeless routes. But at traffic densities below a certain level, bypass roads are useful. Interestingly, the patterns found by mathematicians apply to any network through which something moves, from plumbing to the Internet.
