  • the surface of the hammer head must be convex, smooth, not beveled, without burrs;
  • impact tools (chisels, crosscuts, barbs, etc.) must have a smooth occipital part without cracks, burrs, hardening and bevels;
  • the spindle of a hand tool with a pointed working end (files, screwdrivers, etc.) must be securely fixed in a smooth, smoothly cleaned handle, which, for greater strength, must be pulled together at both ends with metal bandage rings;
  • screwdrivers must be with non-curved rods, as the blade may slip off the head of the screw or screw and injure hands;
  • wrenches must correspond to the sizes of bolts and nuts, the jaws of wrenches must have strictly parallel jaws, the distance between which must correspond to the standard size indicated on the key;
  • socket and box wrenches must not move in the connected moving parts.

2.3. If it is necessary to use a portable lamp, check: the presence of a protective grid, the serviceability of the cord and insulating tube, the serviceability of the socket and plug. The voltage of portable lamps should not exceed 42 V. It is not recommended to use self-made portable lamps.

3. Safety requirements during work

3.1. When performing emergency restoration work near moving mechanisms, electrical wires and electrical installations, require the foreman to stop the equipment or remove voltage for the duration of the emergency restoration work. If this is impossible to do due to production conditions, require fencing of hazardous areas.

3.2. When using a workbench, lay only those parts and tools that are necessary for this work.

3.3. For convenience and to avoid microtrauma, the bench vice should be installed so that the upper part of the jaws is at the level of the locksmith's elbow.

3.4. Perform work on metalworking of metals only after they are securely fixed in a vice in order to avoid falling and injuring workers.

3.5. When cutting, riveting, chasing and other work in which the formation of flying metal particles is possible, you should use goggles or a mask with safety glasses, and protect the place of work with portable shields, nets so that people working or passing by do not get injured.

3.6. Wear protective goggles when working on the grinder.

3.7. For safety reasons, metal dressing should be done with gloves.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>
