OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH
Healthy working conditions. Occupational Safety and Health Occupational Safety and Health / Legislative basis for labor protection Occupational safety and health of citizens at present in the Russian Federation it has been elevated to the rank of a priority direction of the social policy of the Russian state. The Constitution of the Russian Federation (Article 7) established that labor and health of people are protected in the Russian Federation. State guarantees of social protection are established. The protection of the health of citizens is a set of measures of a political, economic, legal, social, cultural, scientific, medical, sanitary-hygienic and anti-epidemic nature, aimed at preserving and strengthening the physical and mental health of each person, maintaining his long-term active life, providing him with medical care in case of loss of health. The right to health protection is a broad concept in terms of coverage of subjects (applies to all citizens), in assessing the factors affecting health (from any type of adverse impact - both on the environment and on the population, factors of both natural and man-made nature), regulation tasks (measures should ensure both the preservation of health and its strengthening, i.e. development). Occupational Safety and Health provides protection to the worker from adverse effects production environment. Such protection is carried out from a limited range of well-defined production factors. Production factors are classified by state labor safety standards and include: physical, chemical, biological and psychophysical factors. The impact of each of them can lead to a constantly developing disease of an employee (harmful factor) or, at certain levels of exposure, to instant disability or even death (dangerous factor). The gradation of production factors into harmful and dangerous largely determined the approaches adopted in the regulations on labor protection when formulating requirements for the choice of protective measures. An employee in production needs, first of all, protection from excessive workloads, from ignoring or insufficiently taking into account the various negative production factors by the employer, from neglecting differences in individual qualities. The worker also needs to be protected from the dangers of injury or illness due to interaction with modern complex means of production and other factors of the working environment.
