Employee training fire safety measures is carried out according to the general rules for conducting briefings on labor protection, which, depending on the nature and time of implementation, are divided into introductory, primary at the workplace, repeated, unscheduled and targeted.

Repeated briefing is carried out at the intervals established at the given enterprise (in the industry), according to the primary briefing program in full.

Unscheduled briefing is carried out in the cases mentioned in the SSBT standard. The scope and content of the briefing is determined for each specific situation, taking into account the reasons and circumstances for its conduct.

Target briefing is carried out before performing one-time work that is not related to direct duties in the specialty, before work for which a work permit is issued.

Taking into account the specific situation, the briefing includes the necessary issues related to fire safety.

In addition to briefing, the so-called fire-technical minimum is subject to study. It is carried out in order to bring its content to the attention of managers and chief specialists of enterprises, persons responsible for fire safety of enterprise divisions, as well as those engaged in the performance of work of increased fire hazard, to which additional requirements for labor safety and verification of knowledge or the basic provisions of current regulatory technical documents in the field of fire safety.

Training in the minimum system is carried out according to the program and within the time agreed with the territorial authorities of the state fire service.

Employees undergoing training in the fire-technical minimum system at the enterprise may be exempted from introductory and primary fire-fighting briefings.

Energy from space for Starship 08.05.2024

Producing solar energy in space is becoming more feasible with the advent of new technologies and the development of space programs. The head of the startup Virtus Solis shared his vision of using SpaceX's Starship to create orbital power plants capable of powering the Earth. Startup Virtus Solis has unveiled an ambitious project to create orbital power plants using SpaceX's Starship. This idea could significantly change the field of solar energy production, making it more accessible and cheaper. The core of the startup's plan is to reduce the cost of launching satellites into space using Starship. This technological breakthrough is expected to make solar energy production in space more competitive with traditional energy sources. Virtual Solis plans to build large photovoltaic panels in orbit, using Starship to deliver the necessary equipment. However, one of the key challenges ... >>

New method for creating powerful batteries 08.05.2024

With the development of technology and the expanding use of electronics, the issue of creating efficient and safe energy sources is becoming increasingly urgent. Researchers at the University of Queensland have unveiled a new approach to creating high-power zinc-based batteries that could change the landscape of the energy industry. One of the main problems with traditional water-based rechargeable batteries was their low voltage, which limited their use in modern devices. But thanks to a new method developed by scientists, this drawback has been successfully overcome. As part of their research, scientists turned to a special organic compound - catechol. It turned out to be an important component that can improve battery stability and increase its efficiency. This approach has led to a significant increase in the voltage of zinc-ion batteries, making them more competitive. According to scientists, such batteries have several advantages. They have b ... >>

Alcohol content of warm beer 07.05.2024

Beer, as one of the most common alcoholic drinks, has its own unique taste, which can change depending on the temperature of consumption. A new study by an international team of scientists has found that beer temperature has a significant impact on the perception of alcoholic taste. The study, led by materials scientist Lei Jiang, found that at different temperatures, ethanol and water molecules form different types of clusters, which affects the perception of alcoholic taste. At low temperatures, more pyramid-like clusters form, which reduces the pungency of the "ethanol" taste and makes the drink taste less alcoholic. On the contrary, as the temperature increases, the clusters become more chain-like, resulting in a more pronounced alcoholic taste. This explains why the taste of some alcoholic drinks, such as baijiu, can change depending on temperature. The data obtained opens up new prospects for beverage manufacturers, ... >>

Generic Antibiotic 11.07.2012

Perhaps researchers at the Ludwig-Maximilian University (LMU) in Munich have found a universal way to fight many dangerous bacterial infections. German scientists have discovered an enzyme that is involved in the modification of bacteria and is important for the development of pathogenicity of microorganisms. The found enzyme differs from other proteins, which means that it is an ideal target for the development of new antimicrobial drugs.

A new study of a number of pathogenic bacteria has shown that these strains only become pathogenic when a protein called elongation factor P (EF-P) chemically modifies conserved lysine.

EF-P is a universally conserved translation factor that is involved in protein synthesis. As scientists know, two enzymes are involved in the modification of conserved lysine, but their presence alone cannot explain the modification of conserved lysine EF-P in living cells.

Thus, at least one other protein must be involved in the modification process. It was he who was found by German scientists. It turned out that this is an enzyme called YfcM, which is responsible for the activity of hydroxylase. Strikingly, YfcM is unlike any other known protein. This means that it has a special structure and may be an ideal target for new effective antibiotics.
