К main areas of ensuring the safety of production processes at all stages of their life cycle the following are traditionally included.

At the design stage (reconstruction, modernization):

Design of individual technological operations and the technological process as a whole, taking into account all safety requirements.

Designing the placement of equipment in rooms, buildings and on the industrial site as a whole, taking into account all safety requirements.

Development of technological regulations and technical operation rules.

At the operational stage:

Strict adherence to the rules for operating equipment, using tools, and the flow of the technological process.

Equipment maintenance.

Periodic diagnostics of the condition of tools and personal protective equipment, verification of monitoring and control devices, observation or monitoring (including continuous) of the technological process and working conditions.

At the stage of conservation and liquidation:

Strict adherence to safety rules related to the processes of stopping, conservation and liquidation (partial or complete) of a particular production.

Periodic or continuous diagnostics of the technical condition of buildings and structures, equipment.

We emphasize that mainly occupational safety specialists of occupational safety services are engaged in ensuring occupational safety during the operation of existing production. More rarely, it is necessary to monitor compliance with labor protection of workers associated with the shutdown, conservation and liquidation of production. This is often done by specialized organizations.

Practice has singled out from all these issues:

  • safe operation:
  • industrial sites and transport routes;
  • buildings and structures, their premises;
  • equipment and tools;
  • safe use of raw materials, intermediate products and finished products;
  • safe working conditions in the workplace.

At the same time, one should always provide for disruption of the “normal” flow of production processes and the occurrence of emergency situations, which requires personnel to be prepared to act in such conditions.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Test of automatic braking systems in cars 29.05.2014

Nikkei Automotive Technology magazine has published test results of various automotive obstacle and pedestrian recognition systems with automatic braking in front of them. The independent trial looked at designs from nine automotive companies.

The Japanese auto giant Fuji Heavy Industries, which produces cars under the Subaru brand, received the highest praise. They are equipped with a new generation EyeSight active safety system, which was awarded 7 points in the rating - 4 points for the ability to avoid collision with other vehicles at speeds up to 50 km / h and 3 points for automatic braking in the event of a risk of collision with a pedestrian at 40 km /h

The stereo camera in the updated EyeSight option, unlike its previous version, can recognize colors and has a 40% increase in angles and viewing distance. In addition, the reaction speed increased from 30 to 50 km/h. According to the automaker, about 80% of Subaru buyers choose to include the EyeSight feature.

In the ranking of the safest electronic assistants to avoid accidents, Volvo Car got the second place. Using the Volvo V40 hatchback as an example, journalists found that the City Safety complex effectively responds to other cars at speeds up to 40 km/h. In the case of identification of pedestrians on the roadway, the speed of the car should not exceed 30 km/h. As a result, the security system from the Swedish brand received 5 points.

The top three in the Nikkei Automotive Technology report was closed by the Japanese company Nissan Motor. It is followed by the German BMW Group. Experts draw attention to the fact that the first four places in the ranking were occupied by automakers whose automatic braking system uses cameras. They are better at detecting pedestrians than radar or infrared laser devices.

The latter are installed in Suzuki, Daihatsu and Honda cars, which scored only one point each in the study. These manufacturers completely failed the "live obstacle" test on the road.

The same one point was received by the German concern Volkswagen AG. Under his brand, the Golf Variant model was tested. Toyota Motor Company was satisfied with the result of 2 points. The operation of Volkswagen and Toyota automatic brakes is based on the radar module.
