I. General Provisions

  1. A person with higher professional technical education and work experience in production for at least 1 year is appointed to the position of foreman of the steam power section (boiler room).
  2. The master of the steam power section (boiler house) is appointed and dismissed by the general director of the enterprise.
  3. The master of the steam power section reports directly to the chief power engineer of the enterprise.
  4. When transferring to another job or dismissing him from office, the Master of the steam power section is responsible for the proper and timely delivery of cases to the person taking up this position, and in the absence of such, to the person replacing him or directly to his supervisor.
  5. Must know:
  • instructions, orders concerning the organization of production and economic activities of the boiler room, the safe operation of boiler equipment;
  • legislation on labor and labor protection, rules and norms of industrial sanitation and fire protection, regulations and instructions for investigating and recording industrial accidents;
  • job descriptions of employees (subordinate to the master of the boiler room);
  • device, rules of technical operation, technical characteristics of the boiler room equipment;
  • the process of generating heat, electrical and technological systems of the boiler house;
  • schemes of heat, steam and water pipelines and gas supply schemes, schematic diagrams and principles of operation of sets of control, protection and signaling devices, arrangement of instrumentation;
  • fundamentals of economics, organization of production, labor and management.

II. Official duties

Master of the steam power section (boiler room):

  1. Supervises the employees of the boiler room. Manages the production and economic activities of the boiler house.
  2. Ensures the safe operation of equipment in the boiler room, uninterrupted production of coolant, compliance with the rules of technical operation, safety regulations and fire safety.
  3. Controls the economical consumption of heat carrier by consumers.
  4. Organizes the development and implementation of organizational and technical measures to improve the reliability of boiler equipment, reduce thermal energy losses, rational use of fuel and energy resources, reduce equipment downtime for repairs, prepare it for operation in various seasonal conditions.
  5. Participates in the acceptance of equipment after overhaul and installation.
  6. Participates in the work of commissions to investigate the causes of accidents, failures in the operation of boiler equipment, as well as cases of industrial injuries.
  7. Provides revision of existing and development of new regulations.
  8. Ensures the preparation of applications for tools, materials, spare parts, protective equipment necessary for the maintenance and repair of boiler equipment and the implementation of office technical events.
  9. Controls the safety and proper use of material assets.
  10. Organizes technical accounting and analysis of equipment operation.
  11. Organizes advanced training of the boiler room staff, participates in the work of the attestation commission.
  12. Ensures the correct and efficient application of salary and bonus systems. Makes proposals on encouraging distinguished workers or bringing to disciplinary responsibility for violation of production and labor discipline, if necessary, measures of material influence.
  13. Ensures the correctness and timeliness of registration of primary documents for recording working hours, wages, downtime.
  14. Takes part in the development of measures to create favorable working conditions, improve the culture of production, rational use of working time and in their implementation on the site.
  15. Carries out production briefing of workers, conducts activities to study the rules of labor protection, safety precautions and industrial sanitation, technical operation of equipment and tools, as well as control over their observance.
  16. Participates in the organization and conduct of emergency and fire fighting training of personnel.

III. Rights

The master of the steam power section has the right to:

  1. give assignments to subordinate employees, tasks on a range of issues included in his functional duties;
  2. control the fulfillment of production tasks, the timely execution of individual orders by employees subordinate to him;
  3. to request and receive the necessary materials and documents related to the issues of their activities and activities of employees subordinate to him;
  4. interact with other services of the enterprise on production and other issues that are part of its functional duties;
  5. get acquainted with the draft decisions of the company's management regarding the activities of the Division;
  6. propose for consideration by the manager proposals for improving the work related to the duties provided for in this Job Description;
  7. submit for consideration by the head of the proposal on the promotion of distinguished employees, the imposition of penalties on violators of production and labor discipline;
  8. report to the manager on all identified violations and shortcomings in connection with the work performed.

IV. A responsibility

The master of the steam power section is responsible for:

  1. improper performance or non-performance of their official duties provided for by this Job Description - within the limits determined by the labor legislation of Ukraine;
  2. violation of the rules and regulations governing the activities of the enterprise;
  3. offenses committed in the course of carrying out their activities - within the limits determined by the current administrative, criminal and civil legislation of Ukraine;
  4. infliction of material damage - within the limits determined by the current labor and civil legislation of Ukraine;
  5. compliance with current instructions, orders and orders for the preservation of trade secrets and confidential information;
  6. compliance with internal regulations, safety and fire safety rules.

Charging gadgets with vibration from walking 30.11.2022

Japanese scientists from Osaka Capital University announced the creation of a high-performance and compact vibration energy collector capable of charging gadgets worn by people while walking.

The size of the energy collector created by scientists is only 2 cm in diameter, the press service of the university reports.

It is noted that this development, called MEMS (microelectromechanical system with piezoelectric vibrational energy), is approximately 90 times more efficient than other similar developments.
