The music simulator is designed for those who are learning to sing. By singing through the microphone of the simulator, you can control by the lights on which note you have taken.

The signal from microphone B1 is fed to a two-stage amplifier (transistors V1 and V2). The gain can be set with a variable resistor R2. From the load of the second stage (resistor R5), the signal is fed to the limiter (transistor V4), which is necessary to obtain a constant signal amplitude when the distance between the singer and the microphone changes. From the load resistor (R10) of the emitter follower (transistor V5), the signal enters through the capacitor C6 and the decoupling resistors R11-R18 to the frequency selective filters.

Each filter consists of a resonant circuit (inductor L1 and capacitor C7), a low-frequency amplifier (transistor V6), a detector (diode V7) and a three-stage DC amplifier (transistors V6, V8, V9) loaded on indicator light H1.

The oscillatory circuit of each filter is tuned to its own frequency. So, the contour of the first filter shown in the diagram is tuned to a frequency of 261 Hz (note C to the first octave), the second - 293 Hz (Re), then 5 Hz (Mi), 329,5E Hz (F), 34 Hz ( Sol), 392 Hz (La), 440 Hz (Si), 494 Hz (Up to the second octave).

Electrolytic capacitors - K50-6, the rest - MEM; fixed resistors-MLT 0,25, variable-SP-1. Diodes can be any D9 series.

The coil is wound on two alsifer rings folded together, size K55 x 32 x 11,7; its inductance for the first filter is about 2,3 H. More precisely, the inductance of the coils is selected when setting up the simulator. Lamp HI - МН2.5 X 0,15; power supply GB3 - battery 3336L, GB1 and GB2 - elements 373; microphone - MD64A; power switch - three-section.

The adjustment of the device begins with the setting of the operating modes of the transistors. By selecting resistors R1 *, R4 *, R6 *, they achieve that the voltage on the collector of the corresponding transistor is approximately 1,5 V. Then the signal from the low-frequency generator is fed to the input of the simulator (the microphone is turned off). By setting the desired resonant frequencies of the filters on the generator, the number of turns of the corresponding coils is selected. The HI lamp serves as an indicator of the filter setting. The output voltage of the alternator should be a little more than the minimum voltage at which the signal lamp lights up. The same level of operation of frequency-selective filters is set by selecting resistors R19 *.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

1,5 exaflops supercomputer 13.05.2019

AMD is partnering with the US Department of Energy (DOE), Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), and Cray Inc. announced the creation of an exascale class supercomputer, which is expected to be the fastest in the world and will be operational at ORNL in 2021.

To deliver more than 1,5 exaflops of expected compute performance, Frontier will use high-performance computing (HPC) and AI-optimized custom AMD EPYC processors and dedicated Radeon Instinct GPUs. ORNL researchers will use the Frontier system's unparalleled processing power and next-generation artificial intelligence to simulate, model, and explore the interactions that underpin weather science, subatomic structure, genomics, physics, and other critical scientific fields.

AMD innovations in Project Frontier include custom AMD EPYC processors and next-generation dedicated Radeon Instinct GPUs, optimized for high-performance computing (HPC) and artificial intelligence, coupled with High-Bandwidth Memory (HBM) and the ability to work optimally with multiple data types at the same time, which is necessary in machine learning; Dedicated high-speed, low-latency Infinity Fabric interconnect for connecting four AMD Radeon Instinct GPUs to one AMD EPYC CPU per node; An enhanced version of the ROCm open programming environment, developed in collaboration with Cray, for sharing AMD CPUs and GPUs.
