I. General Provisions

The master of loading and unloading works belongs to the category of managers.
A person who has a higher professional (technical) education and at least 1 year of experience in operational production management or a secondary vocational (technical) education and at least 2 years of experience in operational management of production is appointed to the position of a master of loading and unloading operations.
Appointment to the position of a master of loading and unloading operations and release from it is carried out by order of the director of the organization upon presentation.
The foreman must know:

current orders, instructions, orders, instructions, methodological, regulatory and organizational and administrative documents relating to the performance of assigned duties;
typical technological process of loading and unloading operations;
production capacity of the production site, its mobility;
the procedure for maintaining technical documentation, established reporting forms and the procedure for their preparation;
organization of loading and unloading operations;
regulations on working time and rest time of employees of the organization;
methodology for investigating and recording accidents related to production;
rules and norms of labor protection, safety measures, industrial sanitation and fire protection.

The foreman of loading and unloading works reports directly to _______.
During the absence of the master of loading and unloading operations (illness, vacation, etc.), his duties are performed by his deputy (in the absence of such a person appointed in the prescribed manner), who acquires the appropriate rights and is responsible for the improper performance of his duties.

II. Official duties

Loading and unloading master:

Performs operational management of loading and unloading operations.
Organizes the provision of machines, mechanisms and workers necessary for the performance of loading and unloading operations.
Maintains a schedule on the availability of goods under loading and unloading by periods of the day, on the operation of mechanisms, on the progress of the plan for cargo handling.
Maintains books of operational orders and brings to the attention of the executors the orders, tasks and instructions of the organization's management, controls their implementation.
Identifies the causes of unproductive downtime of machines and mechanisms.
Controls the progress of loading and unloading operations and takes measures to prevent and eliminate these violations.
Receives information about the approach and arrival of goods, regulates the labor force, machines and mechanisms, organizes and controls the movement of labor, machines and mechanisms from site to site.
Controls the implementation of the standards of idle transport under cargo operations, the use of labor, machines and mechanisms.
Draws up shift and daily plans for loading and unloading operations and monitors their implementation.
Reports on the work performed per day or per shift to the management.
Draws up certificates about unloaded wagons, idle time of machines and mechanisms, takes into account the exported cargo and the remains of the unloaded cargo.
Analyzes the work for each production site by type of cargo per shift or per day.
Accepts applications from production sites for the necessary materials and spare parts and controls the provision of each production site with the necessary materials, mechanisms, machines, load handling devices, as well as vehicles.
Prepares an analysis of the rhythm of the loading, unloading and sorting fronts, studies the existing cargo flows and participates in the operational planning of the rhythm of loading and unloading operations, taking into account the technical condition of the unloading fronts and ensures the rhythmic loading of cargo, keeps records of the presence of cargo under loading and unloading by periods of the day, keeps accounting for marriage cases at work and cases of industrial injuries.

III. Rights

The master of loading and unloading operations has the right to:

Get acquainted with the draft decisions of the organization's management regarding its activities.
Submit proposals for the improvement of the work related to the responsibilities provided for in this instruction for consideration by the management of the organization.
Involve specialists from all (individual) structural divisions of the organization in solving the tasks assigned to him (if this is provided for by the regulations on structural divisions, if not, then with the permission of the head of the organization).
Submit to the head of the organization submissions on the appointment, transfer and dismissal of employees from their positions; proposals to encourage distinguished employees, to impose penalties on violators of production and labor discipline.
Sign and endorse documents within their competence.
Require the management of the organization to assist in the performance of their duties and rights.

IV. A responsibility

The foreman is responsible for:

For improper performance or non-performance of their official duties provided for by this Job Description - within the limits determined by the current labor legislation of Ukraine.
For offenses committed in the course of carrying out their activities - within the limits determined by the current administrative, criminal and civil legislation of Ukraine.
For causing material damage - within the limits determined by the current labor and civil legislation of Ukraine.

Hard drive prices will remain high in the near term, despite the industry's rapid recovery from last year's devastating floods in Thailand. This was warned by the research company IHS iSuppli. "Before 2014, we do not expect that the average selling price of hard drives (ASP) will drop to the values that were before the floods in Thailand," - contained in the analysts' report.

Analysts at IHS iSuppli attributed the high prices to a monopoly acquired by Western Digital, which bought Hitachi GST, and Seagate Technology, which acquired Samsung's hard drive business.
