I. General Provisions

II. Official duties

Pre-Sales Mechanic:

Fulfills the orders of the chief mechanic, the director of the car dealership and the seller.
Must have a neat, clean appearance, maintain cleanliness in the trading floor, comply with fire safety rules, prevent oil stains and spills of other technical fluids. If such circumstances arise, take measures to eliminate them.
The mechanic carries out the following list of pre-sale preparation works:

External inspection of the car, identification of external damage. Checking the condition of the doors, body, cab, loading platform, seats, windows, rear-view mirrors, sun visors, plumage, locking mechanism of the tipping cab, locks of the sides of the loading platform, hood, tailgate of the vehicle and its locking mechanism, fifth wheel (towing) devices. Checking the closing of the hood, trunk, doors, fuel filler cap, door locks and their blocking, operation of power windows, locks and seat belt retractors, seat adjusters and head restraints. Adjust if necessary. If there are minor damage to the body (cabin, plumage) that do not require straightening, as well as minor damage to the paintwork - their elimination.
Checking the levels of oils, coolants and operating fluids in additional (special) units, assemblies and systems located on the chassis of the car, and eliminating leaks of oils and liquids caused by leakage of connections.
Checking and, if necessary, adjusting the tension of the drive belts of the generator, fan, compressor (for vehicles with pneumatic brakes) and high pressure oil pump (for vehicles with power steering). On specialized vehicles, check autonomous installations that ensure the operation of additional (special) equipment located on the chassis of the base vehicle.
Checking the level and density of the electrolyte. If necessary, bringing to the required temperature and climatic norm. Put the dry battery into working condition, check, install, fix and connect the terminals.
Check tire pressure, adjust if necessary.
Checking the condition and fastening of the protective covers of hinges of different angular velocities, steering mechanism, hinges, steering rods and suspension.
Check of fastening of wheels (wheel reducers).
Checking the power supply system for leaks, monitoring the content of harmful substances in exhaust gases. Check by inspection the tightness of the engine power supply system, as well as the fastening of equipment and devices of the power supply system. For LPG vehicles, check the tightness of the gas system connections. When checking with filling the system with compressed air - saponification, with filled gas - leakage. Check the operation of the starting heater and devices that facilitate starting a cold engine. Check the ease of starting and operation of the engine at different crankshaft speeds. Check the operation of the engine on gas. Check the operation of the engine: minimum speed, stability of operation in transient conditions, control of the content of harmful substances in the exhaust gases.
Checking the fixation of the tips of high-voltage wires on the terminals of the ignition coil and spark plugs, the electronic switch and the distribution sensor.
Checking the operation of the drive and free play of the clutch pedal.
Checking the operation of the service, parking and additional brakes, as well as the free travel of the brake pedal. Checking the tightness of the brake system with a pneumatic drive and the pressure created by the compressor (according to a standard pressure gauge).
Checking the operation of units, components, systems, mechanisms and devices of the car on the go or at the stand (mileage 0,5-1 km.).
Checking the operation of windshield wipers, washers, heating devices and glass blowing. Checking the heating and ventilation system.
Checking and, if necessary, adjusting the headlights, headlight hydrocorrector.
Checking the performance of control and measuring devices, the operation of lighting devices, light and sound alarms, checking the operation of the thermostat, electric fan, spark plugs for compliance with the car model.
Checking the availability of tools and components according to the inventory and installing them in place.
Throw out the garbage from the car interior and trunk (paper, wire) and close it.

If a technical malfunction or incompleteness is found on the car, the mechanic must immediately inform the chief mechanic.
The mechanic is prohibited from:

carry out work in the car interior with dirty hands or tools;
sit down or lean on the upholstery of the car, not covered with cellophane;
when moving the prepared car, allow sharp slipping or braking, as well as move at a speed of more than 5 km / h across the site.

Maintains the necessary documents at the request of the chief mechanic.
Strictly observes the rules of the internal regulations of the site.
At the end of the work, report to the chief mechanic.

III. Rights

The mechanic has the right:

raise a question before the chief mechanic about providing his unit with working equipment and consumables, and about bonuses to his employees.
give assignments to subordinate employees, tasks on a range of issues included in his functional duties.
control the execution of tasks, the timely execution of individual orders by subordinate employees.
request and receive the necessary materials and documents related to the issues of its activities and the activities of employees subordinate to it.
interact with other services of the enterprise on production and other issues that are part of its functional duties.
get acquainted with the draft decisions of the management of the enterprise regarding the activities of the Division.
submit for consideration by the head of the proposal on the promotion of distinguished employees, the imposition of penalties on violators of production and labor discipline.
report to the manager on all identified violations and shortcomings in connection with the work performed.

IV. A responsibility

The mechanic is responsible for:

For improper performance or non-performance of their official duties provided for by this Job Description - within the limits determined by the current labor legislation of Ukraine.
For offenses committed in the course of carrying out their activities - within the limits determined by the current administrative, criminal and civil legislation of Ukraine.
For causing material damage - within the limits determined by the current labor and civil legislation of Ukraine.
The quality of the work carried out on pre-sale preparation.
Safety of inventory items.
Compliance with labor and production discipline
Compliance with safety rules when performing installation work.
