I. General Provisions

The paramedic belongs to the category of specialists.

A person who has a secondary medical education in the specialty "General Medicine" and (having; not having) (I, II, highest) qualification category (s) is appointed to the position of a paramedic.
Appointment to the position of a paramedic and dismissal from it is carried out by order of the head of the institution.
The paramedic must know:

legislation of Ukraine and other normative legal acts on health issues;
structure, main aspects of the activity of medical and sanitary institutions;
organization of medical, medical and social assistance to the population, the basics of gerontology and geriatrics;
theoretical foundations of nursing;
medical ethics and deontology, psychology of professional communication;
population health statistics;
Fundamentals of valeology and sanology.
methods and means of health education;
regional pathology;
basics of occupational pathology;
causes, development mechanisms, clinical manifestations, diagnostic methods, complications, principles of treatment and prevention of diseases and injuries;
bases of the organization of medical and social rehabilitation.
types, forms and methods of rehabilitation;
pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics of the main groups of drugs, indications and contraindications for use, the nature of the interaction, complications of the use of drugs;
organization of drug supply, regulatory documents regulating the pharmaceutical order in a medical institution;
basic and additional methods of examination;
the basics of clinical examination, the social significance of diseases;
basics of dietology;
infection control system, infection safety of patients and medical personnel of a medical institution;
a system of interaction between a medical institution and institutions of a sanitary and epidemiological profile;
anti-epidemic measures in the event of a focus of infection.

functional duties, rights and responsibilities of middle and junior medical personnel;
safety rules when working with medical instruments and equipment;
labor legislation;

II. Official duties

Paramedic:

Carries out reception of patients, acquaints them with the internal regulations and the appointed mode in the department and monitors their implementation.
Ensures infectious safety (complies with the rules of the sanitary-hygienic and anti-epidemic regime, asepsis, properly stores, processes, sterilizes and uses medical products) for the patient and medical personnel.
Carries out all stages of the nursing process when caring for patients (initial assessment of the patient's condition, interpretation of the data obtained, planning care together with the patient, final assessment of what has been achieved).
Timely and efficiently performs preventive and therapeutic-diagnostic manipulations and procedures independently or prescribed by a doctor.
Assists in the doctor's treatment and diagnostic manipulations and minor operations in outpatient and inpatient settings or performs them independently within his competence.
Provides emergency pre-medical care for acute illnesses, accidents and various types of disasters, followed by a doctor's call to the patient or referral to the nearest medical institution.
Informs the doctor or the head, and in their absence the doctor on duty, about all detected serious complications and diseases of patients, complications that arose as a result of medical manipulations or in cases of violation of internal regulations that go beyond his competence.
Conducts simple laboratory tests (urine for protein, sugar, determination of hemoglobin and erythrocyte sedimentation rate - ESR) and evaluates their results.
Introduces medicines, anti-shock agents (with anaphylactic shock) to patients for health reasons (if it is impossible for a doctor to arrive in time to the patient) in accordance with the established procedure for certain conditions of the patient.
In the presence of a doctor and under his control, he performs blood transfusion and infusion therapy prescribed by a doctor.
Applies conservative methods of treatment of patients, conducts medical procedures.
Determines the indications for hospitalization, organizes the transportation of sick and injured.
Conducts an examination of the temporary disability of the patient or the person caring for the patient.
Prescribes appropriate treatment, writes prescriptions for drugs using reference literature.
Organizes treatment and medical care at home.
Carries out the organization and conduct of dispensary observation of various groups of the population (children, adolescents, pregnant women, participants and invalids of wars, patients who have had acute illnesses, patients suffering from chronic diseases, etc.).
Organizes and conducts anti-epidemic measures in the focus of an infectious disease.
Organizes and produces preventive vaccinations for children and adults.
Ensure proper storage, accounting and write-off of medicines, compliance with the rules for taking medicines by patients.
Carries out the selection of material for bacteriological research in accordance with the disease or doctor's prescriptions.
Teaches family members how to create a safe environment for the patient. Provides care and training for family members during the period of illness and rehabilitation of the patient.
Explains to the patient the methods and procedure for preparing for laboratory, instrumental and hardware studies. Maintains approved medical records and reports.
Carries out sanitary-educational work on health promotion and disease prevention, promotion of a healthy lifestyle.

III. Rights

The paramedic has the right:

Receive the information necessary for the accurate performance of their professional duties.
Make suggestions to improve the work and organization of nursing in the institution.
Require the head of the institution, the head nurse of the department to provide the post (workplace) with equipment, equipment, tools, care items, etc., necessary for the high-quality performance of their functional duties.
Improve qualifications, undergo certification (re-certification) in order to assign qualification categories.
Participate in the work of professional associations of nurses and other public organizations not prohibited by the legislation of Ukraine.

IV. A responsibility

The paramedic is responsible for:

For improper performance or non-performance of their official duties provided for by this Job Description - within the limits determined by the current labor legislation of Ukraine.
For offenses committed in the course of carrying out their activities - within the limits determined by the current administrative, criminal and civil legislation of Ukraine.
For causing material damage - within the limits determined by the current labor and civil legislation of Ukraine.

Pioneer intends to launch four new models of DVD video recorders with built-in hard drives on the market at once.

All models will be available for sale in October (DVR-510H-S and DVR-515H-S) and November (DVR-710H-S and DVR-610H-S) this year. The sizes of hard drives installed in the devices will be 160, 120 and 80 GB, depending on the model. This is enough to store 200, 1 and 50 hours of video respectively.
