I. General Provisions

A person who has an education of at least secondary education, has passed a medical examination, training and passed exams for an electrical safety group of at least 2 is appointed to the position of an on-air operator.
In its activities, the broadcast operator is directly subordinate to: the director of the company, the technical director, the program director, the chief director.
The issuing broadcast operator is operational personnel and is on duty in shifts according to the approved schedule.

II. Official duties

When taking duty:

accept equipment and equipment according to the inventory;
check the serviceability of working and backup equipment, measuring instruments; check and accept tools and protective equipment, paying special attention to their serviceability;
accept a first-aid kit according to the inventory of the attachment;
accept operational, technical and other documentation according to the inventory;
get acquainted with the situation on duty, received orders, changes in the power supply scheme, in the modes of operation of the equipment and the supply of information;
check the hours;
sign in the equipment log about the reception of duty.

While on duty:

constantly monitor the operation of all equipment and equipment and maintain them in good condition,
clearly and promptly fulfill incoming operational orders from authorized persons with high quality,
timely and correctly maintain operational and technical documentation,
observe the rules of technical operation of equipment and apparatus and methods of safe work on it,
perform planned preventive maintenance according to the schedule,
participate in the repair and restoration work as part of the brigade,
comply with internal regulations and labor discipline,
maintain the sanitary condition of the workplace, studio premises,
comply with fire regulations.

Functional duties while on duty in the studio:

assembly of advertising blocks, according to the assembly list provided by the traffic manager and the approved program director (provided no later than 20-00 of the day preceding the current shift);
release of the ticker and logo __, the ticker is removed for the duration of the advertising of the channel _ and the release of the "News" program of the channel ___;
release of programs provided by the traffic manager and approved program director (provided no later than 120 minutes before the release of the program, with the obligatory indication of timing, topic, main quality indicators, in order to exclude the possibility of erroneous release, for example: two programs, topic different, one presenter, equal shooting conditions);
maintenance of operational logs: log of acceptance and delivery of duty, log of acceptance of delivery of information carriers (cassettes, disks), log of the occurrence of technical and emergency broadcasting stops on the channel, as well as the admitted marriage of the release of advertising blocks;
broadcast monitoring, according to the order of the program director, president, technical director.

In the event of an emergency, the Ether Operator is obliged to:

to disconnect the failed equipment (apparatus),
switch to backup set,
about the emergency situation (malfunction) immediately report to the higher management (technical director, president of the corporation),
take measures to eliminate the damage (malfunction), if necessary, call the necessary technical personnel to carry out restoration work,
about each case of damage, make an entry in the operational log indicating the time the equipment was stopped and the recovery time, the circumstances of occurrence and the causes that caused the damage.

When handing over duty:

make the necessary entries in operational documentation,
clean the workplace and studio premises,
transfer by shift about all changes in operating modes and equipment malfunctions.

III. Rights

The issuing Ether operator has the right to:

Get acquainted with the draft decisions of the management of the enterprise relating to its activities.
Submit proposals for the improvement of the work related to the duties provided for in this instruction for consideration by the management of the enterprise.
Receive from the heads of structural divisions, specialists information and documents on issues within its competence.
Involve specialists from all structural divisions of the enterprise to solve the duties assigned to it (if it is provided for by the regulations on structural divisions, if not, with the permission of the head of the enterprise).
Require the management of the enterprise to assist in the performance of their duties and the exercise of rights.

IV. A responsibility

The Ether issuing operator is responsible for:

Competent technical operation of receiving devices and equipment.
Compliance with the requirements of the Rules for labor protection and safety, existing instructions.
Compliance with internal regulations and labor discipline.
Preservation of material values.
Sanitary condition of the workplace.
For non-performance (improper performance) of their duties provided for by this instruction, in accordance with the current labor legislation of Ukraine.
For offenses committed in the course of carrying out their activities, in accordance with the current administrative, criminal and civil legislation of Ukraine.
For causing material damage in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine.
