I. General Provisions

The postman is hired and dismissed in accordance with the labor legislation of Ukraine and the employment contract.
The postman reports directly to _______.
A person with a secondary education and work experience of at least _______ years is appointed to the position of a postman.
The postman must know:

types and categories of postal items;
rules for processing mail and delivering ordinary, registered and international correspondence, parcels, transfers, telegrams and periodicals to addressees;
the procedure for the delivery of pensions and benefits, as well as the provision of communication services at home;
the location of streets, houses, apartments in the serviced delivery areas;
established deadlines for the delivery of postal items and telegrams;
tariffs for forwarding postal items and telegrams;
rules and instructions for the maintenance, exchange and safety of mail;
traffic schedule along the route;
the procedure for loading mail onto transport by groups of acceptance or delivery;
established deadlines for the delivery of telegrams;
rules for receiving telegrams from the population;
rules for the delivery of government correspondence;
the procedure and deadlines for the removal of correspondence from mailboxes and the procedure for its tempeling;
rules for processing documentation for delivered registered mail and telegrams.

Persons not younger than ___ years are accepted for the post of postman, for whom this position is the main place of work.
At the request of the employer, the postman is obliged to conclude an agreement on full liability: individual or collective (team), depending on the organization of the labor process in the structural unit (department, section, etc.).

II. Official duties

The postman performs the following types of work:

delivery of postal items and periodicals;
receiving correspondence, periodicals, parcels, transfers, pension orders and money for delivery, preparing received mail for delivery;
delivery to addressees of simple, registered mail, international and valuable correspondence, parcels, transfers, pensions and benefits, periodicals, telegrams in accordance with the rules and within the established deadlines;
round-the-clock delivery of telegrams to addressees in accordance with the rules and within the established deadlines;
registration of documentation for delivered and undelivered telegrams, receiving telegrams from the population;
informing addressees on the issues of addressing, receiving and issuing mail, on the time of postal and telegraph operations in post offices, communication centers, at the post office;
making inquiries about departed addressees and registration of undelivered postal items;
registration of notices of delivery of subpoenas of the police and judicial and investigative bodies, as well as registered letters; selection of delivery cards for newspapers and magazines and their transfer to print delivery;
registration of documentation for delivered registered mail and telegrams;
reception from the public to send simple letters;
removal of letters from mailboxes;
sale of signs of postal payment at serviced delivery sites;
tracking and mail exchange;
receiving mail and periodicals at the point of origin, exchange en route and delivery at the final point, including their loading, stacking and unloading;
monitoring the maintenance of subscriber cabinets and strong points in good condition, ensuring the improvement of the serviced delivery area (ordering the names of settlements and streets, numbering houses, lighting the entrances of houses, moving door mailboxes to gates and fences, etc.) and taking the necessary measures to eliminate the identified deficiencies.

III. Rights

The postman has the right:

receive from employees of the enterprise the information necessary for the implementation of its activities;
submit proposals on the issues of their activities for consideration by their immediate supervisor.

IV. A responsibility

The postman, in the manner and within the limits established by the labor legislation of Ukraine, is responsible for:

causing material damage to the employer in the manner prescribed by the legislation of Ukraine;
failure to perform or improper performance of their functional duties;
false information about the status of fulfillment of duties;
non-fulfillment of orders, instructions and organization and immediate supervisor;
failure to take measures to suppress the revealed violations of safety regulations, fire and other rules that pose a threat to the activities of the organization and its employees;
violation of labor and executive discipline, labor regulations.
