I. General Provisions

The tourism agent belongs to the category of technical executors.
A person with (higher; secondary) vocational education, additional training in tourism activities is appointed to the position of a tourism agent (without presenting requirements for length of service; work experience of at least 1 year (2 years, 3 years, etc.).
The travel agent must know:

Ukrainian legislation;
geography of the countries of the world;
the procedure for drawing up agreements and concluding contracts for the implementation of tours;
rules for booking tickets and services;
schemes for working with hotels, inns, carrier companies (air, rail, bus, cruise, etc.), and other organizations;
fundamentals of tourism law;
foreign language;
rules for preparing tourist documentation (tourist packages, vouchers, insurance policies, etc.);
methods of information processing using modern technical means of communication and communications, computers;
reporting methods.

Appointment to the position of a tourism agent and dismissal from office is carried out by order of the head of the organization.
The travel agent reports directly to _______ (Tourism Manager; other officer).

II. Official duties

Travel agent:

Offers the client the available choice of options for recreation, gives recommendations and advice on choosing places to stay, advises the client on the features of the socio-demographic and climatic conditions of the place of rest.
Conducts mini-advertising of the chosen place, describes its advantages and benefits.
Provides guides, maps, diagrams, plans of the area.
Concludes a contract for the provision of tourist services.
Organizes interaction with transport companies, hotels and travel agencies.
Gives necessary recommendations on compliance with safety rules in the host country (region).
Prepares necessary travel documents.

III. Rights

The travel agent has the right to:

Get acquainted with the documents that define his rights and obligations in his position, the criteria for assessing the quality of performance of official duties.
Submit proposals for improvement of the work related to the responsibilities provided for in this instruction for consideration by the management.
Require management to ensure the organizational and technical conditions and execution of the established documents necessary for the performance of official duties.

IV. A responsibility

The travel agent is responsible for:

For improper performance or non-performance of their official duties provided for by this Job Description - within the limits established by the current labor legislation of Ukraine.
For offenses committed in the course of their activities - within the limits established by the current administrative, criminal and civil legislation of Ukraine.
For causing material damage to the organization - within the limits established by the current labor legislation of Ukraine.

Nanotubes can change the shape of water 29.08.2018

Scientists from Rice University have developed nanotubes that can affect the state of water in a liquid state.

Scientists led by Ruzbe Shahshavari conducted an experiment using nanotubes and water. Thanks to the special structure and the right chemical elements, the specialists were able to set the liquid in the required shape. Due to the small size inside the tube, as well as the special interaction of the water molecules, they formed a square lattice, which is not found under normal conditions at temperatures above zero. It is thanks to this structure that the liquid is able to be in a solid state, regardless of the environment.

Experts note that the size of nanotubes must contain a certain amount of water, otherwise it will not be able to form the necessary structure. If the diameter is too large, the liquid cannot change the shape required by scientists and remains in a free state. The material from which they are made is also important. Tubes containing boron nitride are better at limiting the shape of water due to the creation of certain bonds between the walls.

Research scientists can be useful in creating computers with liquid at its core. Also, nanotubes and a controlled state of the liquid will allow the introduction of drugs into certain cells for a point effect.
