1 way: manually.

Equipment:

  • Good eyes or a lamp with a magnifying glass (Meow! Better than both. Here and further approx. Cat.)
  • Soldering iron (about 10V) with a thin nozzle (1 mm)
  • Solder with a diameter of not more than 0,6 mm

    Method

    1. Cut the solder to the width of your components

    2. Install the component at the soldering point

    How to solder SMD

    3. Place the solder next to the component

    How to solder SMD

    4. Hold the component with your finger (Meow! I wouldn't do it. Stay hairless. Use tweezers.) and solder from one end, heating the solder with a soldering iron.
    5. After soldering one end, solder the other in the usual way.

    2 way: in the oven

Are you soldering SMD cards and tired of hand soldering LQFP/TQFP64 cases? Do you dream of a soldering oven, but don't have the funds? Read on for how to make a soldering oven out of a conventional one.

    How to solder SMD. Stove

Read all safety documentation on your own. Further operations contain a certain risk.

    Necessary equipment

Mini-oven up to 250°C (cheapest is fine)(Meow! Regular grill! Don't hesitate to use the microwave!)

How to solder SMD. Again the stove

Thermometer that allows you to measure the temperature in the range of 20°C - 300°C. The author used a K-type thermocouple with a multimeter.

How to solder SMD. Wire with plug

Soldering cream (e.g. soldering cream, no cleaning, 85% Sn62Pb36Ag2 alloy, 15% RM89 flux, 25g syringe)

How to solder SMD. Syringe and two jars

Ordinary syringe needles, with a diameter of at least 1 mm.

    How to solder SMD. Needles

    Theory.

Soldering takes place in several stages
    1. Heating. The temperature of the component and solder gradually increase.
    2. Drying. The time required for the flux to act and completely evaporate. Equals 1 min 30 sec.
    3. Melting.Melting the soldering cream and heating up to the maximum temperature, which is the melting point of the cream + 20°C.
    4. Cooling.

    How to solder SMD. Schedule

This characteristic varies depending on the soldering cream. See the documentation for your cream.

    Temperature characteristic of the furnace.
    Describe your oven.
    1. Heat oven to 125°C. The slope of the curve should be 1-4°C/min.
    2. Stop heating within 1 minute 30 seconds.
    3. Switch on the oven again and heat up to 210°C.
    4. Turn off the oven and open the door.

The characteristic will be, for example:

    How to solder SMD. Schedule

    Notes

The heating rate is slightly less than recommended by the manufacturer - nothing particularly terrible.

The drying phase is not very stable. If the temperature drops significantly, you can turn on the oven a little so that the temperature does not fall below 120°C.

    The swim is excellent.

Cooling, stage 1 is good, but cooling slows down from 80°C. In this case, the card can be taken out of the oven at 80-70°C. Do not pull out early, because. components may move.

Some sites use MK-based temperature control with a memory characteristic of the cream. Taking into account the thermal inertia of the stove, this method does not seem very useful, and besides, it works like that ...

    First test

Apply slightlycream on the card on the basis that the cream loses about a third of its volume. If there is too much cream, it can spread between the legs - you will have to clean it.

    How to solder SMD

Install the component and place the board in the center of the oven. The thermocouple should be as close to the board as possible.

    How to solder SMD

Set the oven temperature to 250°C and turn on both top and bottom resistors.(Meow! Apparently, both heaters of the stove are meant - upper and lower.)

At 125°C, turn off the oven for one and a half minutes.

Turn on to raise the temperature to 210°C.

First you will see how the cream melts, then it transforms into tin droplets that will fix the legs of the component on the tracks.

At 210°C the process is finished, you can turn off the oven and open the door.

    In summary:

    How to solder SMD

You just have to check if the component is still alive ;)

    What you need to know

  • Hot air oxidizes the traces, so if you then manually solder other components, it can make life a little more difficult. The author tried to tin some places on the map before soldering in the oven. After soldering in the oven, the tracks were damaged - then it is almost impossible to solder anything normally. Perhaps this is some kind of incompatibility of "cold" tinning and high temperatures. One solution is to clean the tracks of oxide with a mixture of vinegar and salt, which creates hydrochloric acid that can dissolve the oxide (use special gloves or tweezers). Do not allow acid to come into contact with soldered components. Remove acid with a sponge.
  • The soldering cream contains a modified rosin that creates vapors that ignite at +100°C. In general, try not to smoke when opening the stove door.
  • Soldering cream is dangerous! Read the documentation for the cream. Try to work in a ventilated area. (Meow! Do not try, but be sure to do it, otherwise your cat may become very ill.)

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

    Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Singing can increase life expectancy 03.01.2021

Scientists have said that singing can increase life expectancy by lowering blood pressure and promoting brain health. Singing also reduces the risk of dementia and helps fight depression. This discovery was made by experts from Yale and Harvard universities, USA

In particular, scientists noted a higher level of intelligence among vocalists and musicians than other people. This is because singing helps to make thinking clearer by engaging and oxygenating different parts of the brain.

When a person sings, his body produces endorphins, which affect the emotional state and make you feel a sense of joy.

At the same time, the vocal data does not matter, the researchers believe: the response of the sacculus receptor, which is located in the ear and reacts to frequencies while singing, causes a feeling of satisfaction, regardless of the sound of the musical motive.
