An information security technician is appointed to the position and dismissed by the order of the director of the enterprise (in agreement with the head of the department).
Must know:

guidance, regulatory and methodological materials on issues related to ensuring the protection of information and observance of state secrets;
specialization of institutions, organizations, enterprises and features of their activities;
methods and technical means used to ensure the protection of information;
requirements for the work performed;
terminology used in the specialized literature on the profile of the work;
principles of operation and rules for the operation of technical means for receiving, processing, transmitting, displaying and storing information, control equipment, protection and other equipment used in the course of information protection work, organization of their repair service;
methods of measurement, control and technical calculations;
the procedure for issuing technical documentation on information security;
instructions for compliance with the regime of special work;
domestic and foreign experience in the field of technical intelligence and information protection;
fundamentals of economics, organization of production, labor and management;
fundamentals of labor legislation;
rules and norms of labor protection, safety measures, industrial sanitation and fire protection.

Education, work experience: secondary vocational (technical) education.

II. Official duties

Participates in the work to ensure the information security of research and development, the observance of state secrets.
Carries out checks of the technical condition, installation, adjustment and adjustment of equipment and instruments, their preventive inspections and current repairs.
Performs work on the operation of means of protection and control of information, monitors the operation of equipment and other equipment.
Keeps records of works and objects to be protected, installed technical means, logs of violations of their work, reference books.
Prepares technical means for carrying out all types of scheduled and unscheduled control checks, certification of equipment, and, if necessary, for delivery for repair.
Carries out observations, performs work on registration of protocols of special measurements and other technical documentation, including reports related to the operation of means and information control.
Performs the necessary calculations, analyzes and summarizes the results, compiles technical reports and operational information.
Determines the causes of failures in the operation of technical means, prepares proposals for their elimination and prevention, ensuring the high quality and reliability of the equipment used, and increasing the efficiency of measures to control and protect information.
Participates in the implementation of developed technical solutions and projects, the provision of technical assistance in the manufacture, installation, commissioning, testing and operation of the designed equipment.

III. Rights

The Information Security Technician has the right to:

give assignments to subordinate employees, tasks on a range of issues included in his functional duties.
control the fulfillment of production tasks, the timely execution of individual orders by subordinate employees.
request and receive the necessary materials and documents related to the issues of its activities and the activities of employees subordinate to it.
interact with other services of the enterprise on production and other issues that are part of its functional duties.
get acquainted with the draft decisions of the management of the enterprise regarding the activities of the Division.
propose for consideration by the manager proposals for improving the work related to the duties provided for in this Job Description.
submit for consideration by the head of the proposal on the promotion of distinguished employees, the imposition of penalties on violators of production and labor discipline.
report to the manager on all identified violations and shortcomings in connection with the work performed.

The information security technician has the right to communicate with the press, transfer official information to other organizations as an employee of the enterprise:

only with the permission of the immediate supervisor;
within the framework of the functions performed by the position;
on all matters related to your field of activity in the enterprise.

IV. A responsibility

The Information Security Technician is responsible for:

improper performance or non-performance of their official duties provided for by this Job Description - within the limits determined by the labor legislation of Ukraine;
violation of the rules and regulations governing the activities of the enterprise;
offenses committed in the course of carrying out their activities - within the limits determined by the current administrative, criminal and civil legislation of Ukraine;
infliction of material damage - within the limits determined by the current labor and civil legislation of Ukraine;
compliance with current instructions, orders and orders for the preservation of trade secrets and confidential information;
compliance with internal regulations, safety and fire safety rules.

When transferring to another job or dismissal, the Information Security Technician is responsible for the proper and timely handover of cases to the person entering this position, and in the absence of such, to the person replacing him or directly to his supervisor.

Vulcan launch vehicle 24.04.2015

The American aerospace company United Launch Alliance (ULA), an alliance between Boeing and Lockheed Martin, is developing a new Vulcan launch vehicle that will replace the Atlas V and Delta IV heavy rockets.

The first stage of the Vulcan will use American liquid fuel engines, since the use of Russian RD-180 engines on the current Atlas V rocket does not suit the United States for economic reasons.

In order to reduce the cost of operating the rocket, the Vulcan first-stage engines are planned to be reused after they land, for which scientists are developing a protective system that will prevent overheating of the shell from friction in the atmosphere, as well as braking parachutes.

ULA plans that in the future, Vulcan will be able to surpass the capabilities of the Delta IV Heavy rocket, which has the largest payload of any launch vehicle in operation today in the world and is capable of launching payloads of up to 25 tons into low Earth orbit.

The first launch of Vulcan is expected to take place in 2019.
