I. General Provisions

  1. The content manager belongs to the category of specialists.
  2. A person with a higher or secondary specialized education and years of work experience is appointed to the position of content manager.
  3. Appointment to the position of content manager and dismissal from it are made by order of the manager upon the recommendation of _______.
  4. The content manager needs to know:
  • orders, instructions, orders, instructions and other regulatory and administrative documents regulating the work of the content manager;
  • technical and operational characteristics, design features, purpose and modes of operation of the equipment, rules for its technical operation;
  • the specifics and subject matter of the site, its goals and objectives;
  • basic formatting using HTML, be an experienced PC and Internet user;
  • content management with XML;
  • other WEB-technologies (taking into account the subject and specifics of the site);
  • types of technical information carriers;
  • advanced domestic and foreign experience in programming and using computer technology;
  • ethical and other norms of behavior adopted in Internet communities;
  • site usage rules;
  • stylistics and grammar of the Russian language, the basics of proofreading;
  • fundamentals of economics, organization of labor and management;
  • legislation on mass media, advertising, intellectual property;
  • fundamentals of labor legislation and labor protection;
  • rules of internal labor regulations;
  • rules and norms of labor protection, safety precautions, industrial sanitation and fire protection;
  • English at a good level (reading, translation).
  1. The Content Manager reports to ______.

II. Official duties

  1. Content manager:
  • In every possible way contributes to the promotion and popularization of the site on the Internet.
  • Develops and supports the basic concept of the site, makes proposals for improving the concept and content of the site, and introducing a new service for site visitors.
  1. Monitors the text content of the site and constantly updates information, for which:
  • carries out constant cooperation with the authors of articles and materials posted on the site;
  • works with external and internal sources of information, selects it for posting on the website;
  • performs work on structuring the headings of the future site (sections of the site), selecting names for them and determining the nature of their content (taking into account the chosen concept of the site) and the frequency of updating information;
  • selects sources of information for each section (materials from paper versions of the publishing house, other sources);
  • makes urgent changes to the composition, content, location or name of headings, sections of the site;
  • fills sections with relevant information, supports updates;
  • monitors compliance with the site update schedule;
  • carries out the search and selection of external authors, personnel policy within its competence;
  • adapts all materials for use on the Internet (arranging links, illustrating, adding interactive features, creating hypertexts, etc.).
  1. Besides:
  • Reviews all documents and materials published on the site, deletes and edits materials that do not comply with the general concept and rules for using the site.
  • Monitors compliance by visitors with the rules for using the site, as well as other mandatory requirements put forward by its creators.
  • Monitors compliance with the general order in the information field of the site for the convenience of all users, ethical and other standards of behavior accepted in online communities.
  • Provides assistance to authors in the design of published materials.
  • Performs work on editing and proofreading materials and their structuring, including the design of texts, tables, etc.
  • Places on the site only information that has been verified and agreed with the authors, makes corrections if necessary, and eliminates inaccuracies.
  • Participates in the artistic design of information placed on the site together with the webmaster.
  • Explores the needs and requests of site visitors.
  • Monitors the work of competitors, that is, sites with similar themes, concepts and content.
  • Analyzes information received from site visitors, and, taking into account technical capabilities and based on the information received, develops and implements new services that increase the efficiency of use of the site by consumers.
  • Taking into account market dynamics, it makes changes to the operation of the site: changes the names of sections, their content, location, frequency of updates or the volume of different materials depending on their relevance.
  • Prepares monthly reports on changes made to the site structure, the reasons for these changes (if any), and their goals.
  • Keeps statistics of past changes for the month (how much of what has been added), compliance with deadlines, and draws up a report on the reasons for their non-compliance.
  • Responsible for compliance with labor protection regulations.
  • Responsible for compliance with internal labor regulations.

III. Rights

The content manager has the right to:

  1. Get acquainted with the draft decisions of the site management regarding its activities.
  2. Submit proposals for the management to improve the work related to the duties stipulated by this Job Description.
  3. Inform your immediate supervisor about any shortcomings in the operation of the site identified during the performance of your official duties and make proposals for their elimination.
  4. Request personally or on behalf of the immediate supervisor from department heads and other specialists information and documents necessary to perform their job duties.
  5. Involve specialists from all (individual) structural divisions in solving the tasks assigned to him (if this is provided for by the regulations on structural divisions, if not, with the permission of the head of the enterprise).
  6. Require the management of the enterprise to assist in the performance of their duties and rights.

IV. A responsibility

The content manager is responsible for:

  1. for improper performance or failure to fulfill their official duties as provided for in this Job Description, within the limits determined by the labor legislation of Ukraine.
  2. for offenses committed in the course of carrying out its activities - within the limits determined by the administrative, criminal and civil legislation of Ukraine.
  3. for causing material damage - within the limits determined by the labor and civil legislation of Ukraine.
  4. The content manager is personally responsible for the prompt, comprehensive and objective presentation of materials on the sections of the site under his control.
