Ways to transport the victim depend on the nature and location of the injury, on the general condition of the victim. Depending on the specific conditions, people can be carried on an impromptu stretcher, on their hands, in a backpack, etc.

Carrying on a backpack with a stick. It is used when moving over short distances, with light and moderate injuries.

A stick about 1 m long is threaded into the straps of an empty backpack (you can use a ski pole) and the backpack is put on your back. The victim sits down on a stick from behind, hugging the assisting person by the shoulders. To reduce the pressure of the stick on the hips of the victim and the back of the carrier, it should be wrapped with something soft (sweater, jacket, etc.). In order to avoid tipping over, the victim should be tied with something to the person providing assistance.

Carrying in a backpack (Fig. 38). It is necessary to open the side seams of the backpack about 30 cm from the bottom. Having passed the victim's legs through these holes, the backpack is put on him like trousers and tied at chest level. Carrying is carried out by one person.

Methods of transporting and carrying the victim

Rice. 38. Carrying the victim in a backpack

Carrying two on poles (or skis) with jackets (Fig. 39, a).

For such carrying, two backpacks, two poles at least 2 m long or skis of the same length, as well as three to four jackets are required.

Methods of transporting and carrying the victim

Rice. 39. Carrying the victim together: a - on poles with jackets; b - on transverse sticks

Poles or skis are threaded through the sleeves of jackets, jackets are fastened over the poles. The ends of the poles are threaded into the straps of backpacks worn on the backs of those who provide assistance.

The victim is placed on a stretcher with his head in the direction of travel. The backpack of the person in front serves as a headboard, so something soft is placed in it.

This type of carrying is equally convenient for lying and semi-sitting positions. If transportation is carried out in winter, the victim should be warmly dressed and wrapped in a blanket or sleeping bag.

Carrying in two on transverse sticks (Fig. 39, b). This type of carrying requires two backpacks, a strong stick 1,2-1,4 m long or two ski poles tied together.

A stick wrapped in something soft is passed through the straps of backpacks worn on the backs. The victim sits on a stick and puts his hands on the shoulders of the bearers to maintain balance.

Carrying on a pole (Fig. 40). It requires a pole 3 m long, a transport bag or a stretcher, a stick 60-70 cm long.

Methods of transporting and carrying the victim

Rice. 40. Carrying the victim on a pole

The bag or stretcher is tied to the pole so that a handle remains: for the one walking in front - 45-50 cm long, for the one walking behind - at least 65-70 cm. For ease of transportation and to avoid rocking the victim, the bag is tied as close as possible to the pole. At the chest level of the victim, a crossbar is attached to the pole - a spacer, with the help of which the edges of the bag or stretcher are held in the extended position.

It is impossible to give recommendations for all cases of a person being in conditions of autonomous existence in nature, but in order to survive in these conditions, it is necessary to know the basic rules of behavior in a given situation and the factors that ensure survival.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food.
