The most important combat traditions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are devotion to the Motherland and constant readiness to defend it; fidelity to the Military oath and military duty, the Battle Banner of the unit and the Naval ensign of the ship; military partnership; tireless striving to master military professional knowledge, improve military skills, high vigilance and combat readiness.

Patriotism and loyalty to military duty are the main qualities of the Defender of the Fatherland

Patriotism - this is the love of a citizen for their homeland, people, its history, language and national culture. The patriotism of the soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is manifested in loyalty to military duty, in selfless service to the Motherland, in readiness at any time to defend its interests, integrity and independence with arms in hand.

Duty is the moral duties of a person, carried out from the motives of conscience. The most important in society are civic and patriotic duty to the Fatherland, which are always associated with public interests and the needs of people. The moral and legal norm of the behavior of Russian military personnel is military duty, which consists in protecting the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Russian Federation, ensuring its security, and also in fulfilling tasks in accordance with the country's international obligations.

In a peaceful daily life, military duty obliges every soldier to deeply realize his personal responsibility for defending the Fatherland, requires him to skillfully master the entrusted weapons and military equipment, constantly work to improve his morale, combat and psychological qualities, high organization and discipline. Patriotism and loyalty to military duty are manifested in the deep awareness of each serviceman of personal responsibility for the defense of the Motherland and the need to conscientiously and honestly fulfill their official duties. They are expressed in constant moral, psychological, physical and professional preparation for the armed defense of the Fatherland, in readiness to overcome any difficulties in the performance of military duty in peacetime and wartime. Patriotism and loyalty to military duty are those moral and spiritual qualities of warriors that make the army invincible.

Friendship, military partnership - the basis of combat readiness of units and subunits

Friendship and military camaraderie took shape and developed throughout the history of the Russian state. They originated even when there was no social enmity between people, and they supported and helped each other in the struggle for existence. People entered into relationships that implied complete trust and openness towards each other.

Here it is appropriate to recall the words of Taras Bulba, the hero of the story of the same name by N.V. Gogol: “I would like to tell you, gentlemen, what our partnership is. You heard from your fathers and grandfathers in what honor our land was for everyone: and let the Greeks know herself, and from Tsaregrad she took chervonets, and the cities were magnificent, and temples, and princes, princes of the Russian family, their own princes, and not Catholic distrust. "Siraya, just like us, our land! That's the time we, comrades, laid a hand on the brotherhood! That's what our partnership stands on! There is no bond holier than partnership! A father loves his child, a mother loves her child, a child loves father and mother. But this is not the same, brothers: even the beast loves its child. But only a person can be related by kinship by soul, and not by blood. There were comrades in other lands, but there were no such comrades."

The hallmarks of a partnership are conscientiousness and responsibility, which presuppose a voluntary readiness to take on the work of a partner, to help him do his part of the work for the sake of a common cause. The Code of Military Association are military regulations, which say that each serviceman is obliged to "cherish military partnership, not sparing his life, rescue comrades from danger, help them in word and deed, respect the honor and dignity of everyone, not allow themselves and other military personnel to rudeness and bullying, to keep them from unworthy deeds.

The great Russian commander A. V. Suvorov formulated the basic principle of military partnership most accurately in his famous Science of Victory: "Die yourself, but help out your comrade." Mutual assistance in battle, responsibility to comrades - all this makes any military team united, increases its combat capabilities and ensures victory in battle. Military partnership is most fully manifested in a combat situation, but this tradition is formed in peacetime, during the period when military personnel master the basics of military service, study military regulations, master weapons and military equipment, during combat coordination of crews, subunits and units.

Friendship is a kind of personal human relationship that is expressed in psychological unity, spiritual compatibility of people, in the constant need to communicate with each other. Friends help, support in difficult times, including in solving personal issues and problems. This is where friendship differs from camaraderie.

The Roman politician, orator and writer Mark Tullius Cicero (106-43 BC) wrote in the dialogue “On Friendship”: “First of all, how can “life of life” be if it does not find peace in mutual benevolence friends? What can be sweeter than to have a person with whom you dare to talk as if you were yourself? What good is a happy circumstance if you don’t have a person who would rejoice in them as much as you yourself? difficult without someone who would endure them even harder than you."

Friendship and camaraderie arise and grow stronger in everyday army life. Modern military equipment, as a rule, involves collective operation, which means that a group of soldiers (tank crew, combat crew, etc.) solve one common task. Success in battle is made up of the combat effectiveness of each soldier who is part of a squad, crew, crew, platoon, company, his psychological compatibility with other military personnel, and his ability to act in a coordinated and skillful manner in the performance of a common task. Under such conditions, the mistake of even one person can damage combat readiness and even disrupt the performance of a combat mission.

A special kind of small associations are microgroups, which include 2-3 people. It is in these groups that a person spends a significant part of his time, in which the foundations of friendship and military camaraderie are laid. In order for such a micro-group of a military collective to become a single whole, each of its members, firstly, must put common interests in the first place; secondly, to be respected by their comrades. It should be noted that young men can cultivate the qualities necessary for this by going in for sports sections and participating in various competitions. Physical exercises and sports will help them develop the necessary psychological and volitional qualities. Friendship and military partnership have nothing in common with familiarity, mutual responsibility, connivance. Truthfulness, honesty, openness, frankness are their main principles.

The duty of every soldier is to carefully preserve and strengthen the military partnership, cherish the honor of his military team, increase its organization and cohesion, always remember that the defense of the Fatherland is a sacred duty of a citizen of the Russian Federation.

Synthetic wood is not afraid of fire 20.08.2018

A group of Chinese materials scientists have obtained a material that looks like wood at the level of microscopic structure, comparable to it in strength, but much more resistant to high temperatures and acids.

Wood is an excellent material: beautiful, light, strong, resilient and easy to work with, but not too durable and flammable. Today, there are a number of synthetic and semi-synthetic materials based on wood or imitating its composition and/or structure - mainly the structure of the cell wall and a higher level of organization of cells into long fibers. The walls of the cells that make up the tree trunk are reinforced with biopolymers - lignin and hemicelluloses, which give the tree its remarkable mechanical properties.

A number of wood-based synthetic materials are obtained by introducing synthetic polymers into the cellulose framework. Such materials tend to be strong and easy to process; they are also valued for their ability to decompose in the soil without harming the environment. However, such materials, like natural wood, are afraid of fire, water and aggressive environments.

There are also materials that imitate the structure of wood, but completely consisting of synthetic components - mainly heat-resistant ceramics; however, the ways to give these materials a wood structure (3D printing or cold casting, freeze casting) are difficult to scale and quite expensive. Therefore, although ceramics with a "woody" structure perform very well in tests, the mass production of such materials is still a matter of the future.

The new composite material is a synthetic polymer resole with a structure similar in many respects to that of lignin; at room temperature, resole crystallizes on a polymer matrix, binds to a number of other synthetic components and forms a structure similar to the microstructure of wood; By changing the set of auxiliary components, you can change the color and other properties of the finished material.
