К bad habits It is customary to attribute: alcoholism, smoking, drug addiction and a disorderly lifestyle. The conflict of an alcoholic with society accelerates the change of his personality, as moral, ethical and social degradation takes place in him.

Smoking is one of the bad habits that harms not only the smoking person, but also the society around her.

Tobacco smoking It harms the health of both men and women, who not only increase the possibility of abortion, but also give birth to children with pathological abnormalities in the cardiovascular and nervous systems, the endocrine system, i.e., children with poor health. In addition, although people of mental labor believe that smoking helps to concentrate and solve intellectual problems, one should not forget that such stimulation of the nervous system always leads to the depletion of the body's energy capabilities, contributing to the development of numerous diseases. The harmful effects of cigarette smoke also affect others, since not everyone is able to endure the negative effects of smoke containing toxic and other substances harmful to the body that cause headaches, nervous irritation and fatigue, which usually negatively affects not only their performance, but also on health.

Drug addiction and substance abuse, sweeping the whole world, also contribute to the moral decay and degradation of society, as they destroy the health of not only a drug addict, but also cause moral harm to the whole society due to the gradually overwhelming and crowding out normal attraction of people. Drug addiction leads to an increase in the growth of mental, nervous and mental disorders, which affect the development of not only the individual, but also society, leading it to degradation.

Leading a disorderly life is also one of the bad habits leading to the growth of alcoholism, smoking, drug addiction and promiscuous sex lifeleading to an increase in sexually transmitted diseases, as well as the spread of the "plague of the twentieth century" - AIDS.

All of the above bad habits lead to the inability to reproduce offspring that are healthy in all respects, since they lead not only to increased mortality and a decrease in the birth rate, but also to the possibility of giving birth to a mentally and physically unhealthy child.

Bad habits cause material harm to society as a whole, as it spends huge material resources to treat these people from addictions, as well as to carry out preventive measures associated with them, instead of paying more attention to the development of a healthy society.

A New Way to Control and Manipulate Optical Signals 05.05.2024

The modern world of science and technology is developing rapidly, and every day new methods and technologies appear that open up new prospects for us in various fields. One such innovation is the development by German scientists of a new way to control optical signals, which could lead to significant progress in the field of photonics. Recent research has allowed German scientists to create a tunable waveplate inside a fused silica waveguide. This method, based on the use of a liquid crystal layer, allows one to effectively change the polarization of light passing through a waveguide. This technological breakthrough opens up new prospects for the development of compact and efficient photonic devices capable of processing large volumes of data. The electro-optical control of polarization provided by the new method could provide the basis for a new class of integrated photonic devices. This opens up great opportunities for ... >>

Primium Seneca keyboard 05.05.2024

Keyboards are an integral part of our daily computer work. However, one of the main problems that users face is noise, especially in the case of premium models. But with the new Seneca keyboard from Norbauer & Co, that may change. Seneca is not just a keyboard, it is the result of five years of development work to create the ideal device. Every aspect of this keyboard, from acoustic properties to mechanical characteristics, has been carefully considered and balanced. One of the key features of Seneca is its silent stabilizers, which solve the noise problem common to many keyboards. In addition, the keyboard supports various key widths, making it convenient for any user. Although Seneca is not yet available for purchase, it is scheduled for release in late summer. The world's tallest astronomical observatory opened 04.05.2024

Exploring space and its mysteries is a task that attracts the attention of astronomers from all over the world. In the fresh air of the high mountains, far from city light pollution, the stars and planets reveal their secrets with greater clarity. A new page is opening in the history of astronomy with the opening of the world's highest astronomical observatory - the Atacama Observatory of the University of Tokyo. The Atacama Observatory, located at an altitude of 5640 meters above sea level, opens up new opportunities for astronomers in the study of space. This site has become the highest location for a ground-based telescope, providing researchers with a unique tool for studying infrared waves in the Universe. Although the high altitude location provides clearer skies and less interference from the atmosphere, building an observatory on a high mountain poses enormous difficulties and challenges. However, despite the difficulties, the new observatory opens up broad research prospects for astronomers. ... >>

The Alps are growing up 13.02.2007

As a group of Italian scientists from the University of Milan discovered, due to global warming, the Alps annually lose more than one and a half billion tons of ice. As a result, tectonic forces, previously balanced by masses of ice, push the mountains up. The Alpine region as a whole rises by 0,15 millimeters per year.

Where glaciers are melting the most, in the Austrian Alps, the rise is 0,4 millimeters per year or more. Mont Blanc grows by almost a millimeter a year.
