Disease Prevention is a determining condition for the formation of a healthy lifestyle and is designed to ensure a high hygienic level of housing maintenance, rational nutrition, rest, physical activity, conditions that exclude the appearance of bad habits.

Prevention of diseases should begin from childhood, i.e., parents begin to carry out primary prevention for their children. And only equality, mutual love and respect for spouses, who are one of the most important social cells of society, can ensure the harmonious development of children from an early age, educating them in the spirit of respect for any form of social work, the interests and needs of others, instilling labor and hygiene skills. taking care of his health and well-being. Because a healthy psychological and moral environment in the family is an important condition for educating a physically and spiritually developed generation, consciously protecting their health and the health of the society in which they live.

Prevention of diseases is inextricably linked with the way of life of a person, which should be based on the observance of the rules of personal hygiene, which is a set of hygiene rules, the implementation of which contributes to the preservation and strengthening of human health. Personal hygiene includes general hygiene rules that are the same for all people of any age; proper alternation of mental and physical labor, physical education, regular meals, alternation of work and outdoor activities, good sleep. Personal hygiene in the narrow sense includes hygienic requirements for keeping the body, linen, clothing, housing clean, as well as for cooking.

The priority is to maintain cleanliness of the body, since open areas of the body are especially often contaminated, which often leads to the development of an infectious disease, such as dysentery, typhoid fever - diseases of "dirty hands". When developing personal hygiene rules, essentially common to all people, age, anatomical and physiological characteristics of the female and male organisms are taken into account.

A conscious attitude to a healthy lifestyle involves the eradication of bad habits (alcoholism, smoking, drug addiction, etc.), the development of a culture of communication, behavior, nutrition, adherence to the regime of work and rest, systematic physical education and sports, an increase in general sanitary culture and hygiene knowledge , harmonious development of personality. In addition, visits to medical institutions in order to prevent or timely detect various diseases should become the norm.

A New Way to Control and Manipulate Optical Signals 05.05.2024

The modern world of science and technology is developing rapidly, and every day new methods and technologies appear that open up new prospects for us in various fields. One such innovation is the development by German scientists of a new way to control optical signals, which could lead to significant progress in the field of photonics. Recent research has allowed German scientists to create a tunable waveplate inside a fused silica waveguide. This method, based on the use of a liquid crystal layer, allows one to effectively change the polarization of light passing through a waveguide. This technological breakthrough opens up new prospects for the development of compact and efficient photonic devices capable of processing large volumes of data. The electro-optical control of polarization provided by the new method could provide the basis for a new class of integrated photonic devices. This opens up great opportunities for ... >>

Primium Seneca keyboard 05.05.2024

Keyboards are an integral part of our daily computer work. However, one of the main problems that users face is noise, especially in the case of premium models. But with the new Seneca keyboard from Norbauer & Co, that may change. Seneca is not just a keyboard, it is the result of five years of development work to create the ideal device. Every aspect of this keyboard, from acoustic properties to mechanical characteristics, has been carefully considered and balanced. One of the key features of Seneca is its silent stabilizers, which solve the noise problem common to many keyboards. In addition, the keyboard supports various key widths, making it convenient for any user. Although Seneca is not yet available for purchase, it is scheduled for release in late summer. Norbauer & Co's Seneca represents new standards in keyboard design. Her ... >>

The world's tallest astronomical observatory opened 04.05.2024

Exploring space and its mysteries is a task that attracts the attention of astronomers from all over the world. In the fresh air of the high mountains, far from city light pollution, the stars and planets reveal their secrets with greater clarity. A new page is opening in the history of astronomy with the opening of the world's highest astronomical observatory - the Atacama Observatory of the University of Tokyo. The Atacama Observatory, located at an altitude of 5640 meters above sea level, opens up new opportunities for astronomers in the study of space. This site has become the highest location for a ground-based telescope, providing researchers with a unique tool for studying infrared waves in the Universe. Although the high altitude location provides clearer skies and less interference from the atmosphere, building an observatory on a high mountain poses enormous difficulties and challenges. However, despite the difficulties, the new observatory opens up broad research prospects for astronomers. ... >>

Fish in a wind tunnel 04.05.2011

Flying fish living in warm seas, fleeing from predators, are accelerated by the rotational movements of the tail, fly out of the water and fly over the water up to 70 meters at a speed of about 400 kilometers per hour. Wings are broad pectoral fins.

Korean engineers from the National University in Seoul placed stuffed flying fish in a wind tunnel, determining lift, air resistance and their relationship. This ratio indicates how many meters the aircraft is able to fly without a motor (and as soon as the fish jumped out of the water, it loses the ability to use the "motor" - the tail).

For a small propeller-driven aircraft, this ratio is 7, for a petrel 4, for kites 9-17. In flying fish, it is 4,4, which is not bad even for birds. If, however, a large cuvette with water is placed in a wind tunnel under a stuffed fish, which corresponds to flying low over water, then the ratio of gliding to descent rises to 5,5.

In this case, the so-called screen effect gives additional lift - a sharp increase in lift due to the reflection of air flows from the surface of the earth or water when flying at low altitude.
